Allez La France - all the way back home please!
I much prefer word of mouth to restaurants that are overpriced because they have a star or a crown or whatever. Never bought the guide, never will

It would be nice to see the option on more international flights from Haneda particularly in the region - would be good for business and tourism to have Haneda for flights to SEA.
Have they upgraded the International Terminal at all? I went to Korea from Haneda 4 years ago and I don't think they had spent any money on the terminal since 1970

here's an eco-flight idea for you - DON'T FLY!
That said - heading for the airport in just over an hour :-)

It is common sense but how many times have you seen a Japanese person get up and go to the toilet after boarding and before the seat belt signs are turned off? For me that would be pretty much every flight - on my last flight which was a non Japanese carrier the Japanese lady got told to sit back down but Japanese attendants on Japanese flights don't seem to do that...
Not sure if this is a weight saving eco thing - sounds more like a safety thing

why would you nit file? It is a damn site easier than getting immigration papers for the little one not to mention health benefits etc
I am sure if they were living in Japan and they were born in Japan with both parents Japanese (OK dad by natualisation) then they would have filed. (yesI know there are a few ifs there...)

Sounds like they are catching up but for our market no-one has mentioned one of the best reasons, in my view, to buy a Mac in Japan - multi-language. My Japanese wife can have her account in Japanese and I can have mine in English - if she wants me to troubleshoot something I switch it to English, sort it out for her and switch it back to Japanese. On her Japanese vista vio she is on her own!

There is no excuse for this - yes those bikes can be annoying but the culprits, if found, should be prosecuted for attempted murder to set an example that this is not acceptable.

"honto"
That one really winds me up - ask the wife! They ask you something and they say honto - no actually I'm lying to you! Even though I know in that context it is a "umm" or some such to keep the conversation moving it gets to me...

Let's also not forget that the Japanese health insurance does not cover long term hospitalisation either and most Japanese take out supplementary insurance.

should these guys be allowed to talk in their sleep?
I would rather not see another war but Iran is stacking the odds against themselves with their rhetoric.
I am sure most iranians would rather these guys were not talking for them and just want to get on with their lives in peace.

On the one hand you have to agree with him about the politicians but on the other make an example out of the TV Talent(less) and media seeking types because you need to set an example. If the kids think it is OK 'cause celeb A or B does drugs they will follow - especially in the land of the sheep, sorry I mean rising sun...
I never knew that the Japanese invented stimulants for their suicide bombers - hardly a claim to fame I would think? Maybe the police should check what he's smoking?

Another waste of tax money - speak up people! Someone is feeling you up grab their hand and raise it in the air and shout who's hand is this touching me?
See him on the train again and say - aren't you the guy who felt me up yesterday?
He'll soon be too embarrassed to take the train

I seriously hope they don't get their wish - I don't support the idea of any company getting bailed out without serious strings attached.
In JALs case they are probably operating too many unprofitable routes. If it does not make money hike the price or reduce/shut the route. This would also be good for "Green Japan"

How crazy does that sound?
For those criticizing the marriage by proxy thing he found out he was going to be a dad whilst deployed in a danger zone. So he did what he could to legitimise the relationship just in case. Unfortunately the worst did happen and he was killed.
Also there is no mention of support from her family only his. This also is not uncommon in international marriages in Japan so maybe she wants to go where she has support and not being treated as an outcast - one possible reason why she wants to go to the US. Not saying that is the case, but something to consider rather than throwing out wild accusations...

That is one lucky little girl.
What makes this more common is say Japan over the UK is the accessibility of rail tracks - there is too often little or no barrier to prevent the public wandering onto the tracks

dammit it mentions sterling and dollar price.
The current policy my agent told when I booked for next week is 23kg and it does not mention the number of bags which is good for me as I need to take a suit carrier as well as normal luggage.
I think the new policy is still better than most other airlines and reasonably priced.
A quick google delivered this to support my claim: http://budgettravel.about.com/od/airfarescruises/tp/majors_bagfees.htm
