    The only statement here about sexual assault is still alleged and not proven and not included in your quote. If you want jail time, you will have to wait, not assume its being swept under the rug.

    That is unless you were talking about sexual harassment and upskirt videos, and neither of which are sexual assault. Unless you mean the times that for some reason, they get sexual assault and sexual harassment confused.

    That would the thinking of the operators of Yasukuni, and I will not glorify it by calling logic. Nothing to do with me, and there are than two sides to this issue, the operators of Yasukuni being on the jackass side which neither of us belong to...I think.

    No, I do not begrudge the Japanese a Self Defense Force. I just call a spade a spade. They are breaking their own constitution. I would gladly support an amendment to legitimize the SDF clearly, but until that comes, they are violating the constitution.

    In the underhanded search for legal loopholes, the SDF is called a branch of the national police force. Its obvious backhanded insanity. What police force has jet fighters and tanks? They need those to police Japan? Its just the Japanese being sneaky, and it does not foster trust, sorry. If they do that and we all know full well that the SDF can be converted to an attack force practically overnight.

    There is no need to be dishonest here. They just need to change the constitution. However, I dont trust the current government to do it right.

    Very different rules govern what they can do.

    Rules are words on paper. Words on paper that government visitors to Yasukuni seem hot to change. I dont think all the Japanese government should be mixed with those IJA loving warhead numbskulls, but its not a surprise that other countries would choose to focus on another countries imperialist monkeys, especially when their grandparents were raped and murdered by that country previously.

    Guillaume Varès, thank goodness for you, it seems you are the only one with genuine concern for the babies. They are all that really matters, and this China/Japan/ WHO stuff amounts to a political sideshow at their expense.

    No intentional error on your part, but babies are fed with formula and/or breast milk, not milk, as babies cannot stomach plain old cow milk or the pure milk of any other animal but human.

    I am pretty surprised at this news about the lack of iodine in Japanese baby formula, so thank goodness my child was breast fed too. My wife ate seaweed. Our baby didnt! Duh!

Somehow I dont think anyone here would have a problem if I cursed the Soviets down to the last soldier for their similar actions in Afghanistan. So why the lack of consistency?     Reality check: Nobody said they werent and nobody said that a potential Afghani terrorist or other new terrorist would be the same people with the same reasons as the 9/11 hijackers. Could you just stop and think a minute please?

    But rest assured, if she had done this in a spa with only women of 20 and up, she still would have been arrested and for mostly the same reasons. We dont know the charges, so she may not have been arrested for anything related to the ages of the girls.

    so it doesn't mean these girls have "beautiful breasts".

    Its an interesting point, but given the truth dodging nature of euphemism, we actually still dont know what was meant. People here insisting 11 year old girls dont have breasts...how do they know? They see a lot of naked 11 year old girls? Dont think so. They are not all alike and each is in a different state of development. That is researchable scientific fact.

    Nobody justified this. And of all the random statements in your post, that is the one that condemns you the most. We all condemn this, but some of us base our condemnation on things that make legal and psychological sense, and others dig deep into a pit of sexual repression for guidance.

    Go to wiki and look at the album covers for Virgin Killer and Houses of the Holy. Are you disgusted? Fine. That is your right. But that is your personal feeling, end of story. The problem here is not anyone's feelings about 11 year old breast. The problem here is an invasion of privacy and a complete lack of consent, and those are universally disgusting.

    Japan does not have a military, it's a self defense force only.

    A self defense force has war potential. It might help for you to read Article 9 before you declare Japan obeys it.

    And if you think a self defense force is not a kind of military, well I cannot counter that without completely insulting you. You seriously think all those tanks, missiles, guns, helicopter gunships, battleships, aircraft carriers and jet fighters are not a simple Diet vote away from being labeled an army, navy and air force? Are you seriously going to argue with me that a stroke of the pen and the choice of a word makes all the difference?

    This is not about free speech! This is about taking action against gay marriage!

    And if my religion requires human sacrifice, do you think its intolerance to stop me? No religion gets to violate human rights! That is NOT intolerance! Its the natural and obvious course of having a separation of church and state!

    Well, the law of land is not supposed to be based on religious belief. I believe it is a sin to try and force your religious belief on others! In fact, I think its a crime!

    However, it is gross and disgusting.

    No it isnt! You only THINK it is! Well guess what? So do I! Is that germane? No it isnt! Personal perceptions are no more relevant that religious belief on this issue. The only relevant questions are if people or society are seriously harmed by gay marriage. No they arent obviously. People dont need doctors for gays being married and society is not going to fall apart because such a small percentage of men and women enter into a gay marriage.

    Paranoia and personal feelings are irrelevant. Human rights are paramount.

    The proof is in the Japanese constitution Article 9.

    Sort of strange to say that since the Japanese are in gross violation of Article 9 by maintaining a military. Article specifically prohibits holding any war potential. How much can you trust someone that violates their own constitution?

    vg866, you typical rightist/conservative does not give a damn about right and wrong. For them its about winning and gaining. For them, lying, killing, cheating and stealing are just part of the game, and when they get control you get wars like WWII, the end of which is at the crux of this issue. Sadly too many of them still have control, and whereas the Japanese government should gladly give over these rocks as penance for Japanese brutality in Korea, the rightists/conservatives did not learn a thing from the war.

    A lone woman walking a drunk male customer home is stupid on so many levels. And now it leaves us with a fairly unresolvable "he said, she said situation". How can we get the truth like this?

    I would like to see the staff of the bar get some punishment just for letting this happen. Double that if anyone there ordered her to do it.

    A proper investigation should have been launched immediately. Sounds like it wasnt. Another black mark for the pseudo-occupation forces.

    People simply aren't comfortable with the idea that women can be pedophiles too.

    Its the tip of the iceberg as far as the realities that people are not comfortable with and refuse to face reality or even fairness.

    Some people here also refuse to accept that many 6th grade girls have breasts, again, despite the clear words of this teacher. If you see a 6th grade girl on the street with breasts, you just assume she isnt sixth grade. Its normal for girls to begin puberty at 10 years old, and that is 4th grade, and complete puberty at 15. Breasts dont suddenly appear at legal age, as much as some people desperately want that to be the way of the world.

    Also while everyone is all shock and gasp and acting like this is an extreme danger to society, all she did is violate her student's privacy and take some pictures. I have seen more hum-drum reactions to knife murders! We have no reason to think she even touched her students. And if she got off just by looking at the spa and not taking pictures, no one would be any the wiser. So save it.

    Two wrongs dont make a right. I suggest withdrawing and then give the Afghani people a great big apology along with the persons of George Bush, Dick Cheney, Condi Rice, and Paul Wolfowitz to try as they please. I think that would ward off any terror attacks for a long time.

    The Taliban have never placed any bombs in any American plane, and they don't have global ambitions.

    Yeah, but now Afghanis have some pretty good reasons for revenge, and there are plenty of ways to get it besides using airplanes. I just hope if it happens they go after the right Americans, because this American never supported the war against the Taliban or the stupid attempt at regime change. Unfortunately I think everyone can cry "collateral damage" just as easily as the U.S. military.
