I never understand why Japanese politicians get fired or resign over matters that are trivial compared to what happens overseas.
When politicians overseas commit crimes in office and then carry on their merry way, the precious little Japanese politicians lose their jobs for an off the cuff remark, installing a water filter in their office with approval or questioning senior officials accounting anomalies. The politics in this nation is a joke.

Well my home country has A LOT of single men and women. I know quite a few of them and they are single for a reason. Shallow, insensitive morons who cannot take care of themselves let alone someone else. Unambitious, boring man-children and frumpy, vile-tongued harpies. Not saying Japan is the same (although I know a few that fit the category) but I do meet people here who are over 30 and then I find out they have never been in a serious relationship. Sometimes it is obvious why.... other times I have to wait a few minutes. Their mothers are the real victims though (if you ask them...)

Well, Christmas is originally a pagan celebration with the tree being part of the worship of nature. A tree made of gold seems very appropriate to me.
