I saw on TV a similar thing in Nara Pref recently. The boars wander the streets going through rubbish bins. Why they arent controlled by authorities when they are clearly dangerous animals is beyond me. Dogs much smaller and less aggressive would be picked up in the blink of an eye.

One thing that worries me, and a lot of people who have seen similar things, is when women bring their kids to the izakaya at 9pm or later.
Kids as young as those in pushers are dragged into the smoky dens while mum puts away a few drinks. The kids curl up on the tatami and it seems to be their regular routine. Not only is it unhealthy physically and emotionally for the kids, but mum would save quite a bit of money by drinking at home.
I would love to say I have only seen this once and it was an isolated incident, but I have seen it a few times from different women and other people tell me they have seen the same thing.

Dont understand the hype with either of these two.
Gaga is filling the gap in female entertainment due to not much else being any good. She is like the Caroline Wozniacki of lady pop. Lucky for them both that all the legends are gone.
As for Terry Richardson, well for an over-rated, unattractive, bald creeper, he must have a heck of a publicist. I always like how the "latest it person" uses him and they become edgy and scene. Bleech - his work is about as deep as an ice-cream scoop and leaves me just as cold.

Huh? You get 10kg of carry-on for free and then you can check-in another 20kg for 2800 Yen. Dont see a problem with that.
With Jetstar though, you can pay a bunch of money for a blanket, meh-level food and crappy in-flight entertainment.
I pack my ultra-light sleeping bag (better than any grotty airline blanket), cram my ipod with movies, conbini bento and then a few cheeky beers at the departure gate. I laugh at the folks around me who fork out for the Jetstar deal.
But make sure you take Asahi Super Dry, the flight attendants can get shirty if they catch you slamming down non-Jetstar purchased beer...

As in they dont get paid? Not quite.
Ordinary comment. This base is a US initiative and not the other way around. Australia has been allied to the US since before WWI so it isnt a new partnership. In fact, it is one of the oldest alliances in the world today. As for Third World, I have no doubt that the US would gladly swap economies with that of Australia.

If you have the chance - get down to this. It is truly amazing. Cold and crowded yes - but awesome.

As whiskeysour said - we need more information here.
My baby is a month old and we put boiling water in the bath to get it up to over 40 degrees C which is what the baby likes. It could be carelessness if the kettle fell on the baby - rather than him being malicious.

We didnt have a tv before we got married, which concerned my in-laws. They bought an enormous tv as a wedding gift and it had me fuming. I didnt want the trite, banal rubbish that Japan serves up as programming infecting my house but Mrs. Dentshop insisted it stayed. DVD movies are something else on the big booming LCD but I can tell you honestly that I have never at down to watch Japanese television on the new screen. In deference to domestic bliss, I dont criticise what she is watching but I do ask her to turn it down.
The shows in my big, brown homeland are bad enough - but here, it is a new low and I am not even Japan-bashing, the shows are really terrible and I am not surprised people are turning off.
The gift of an HDD recorder went straight back to shop for a refund.

Tiger Woods would be actually loving this. All this is deflecting from what the media would have been saying - we all know what that would have been.
It is almost like his old mate Steve is doing his a** a favour!

I dont care how many thumbs down I get - but there is seriously something wrong here, not only in a little house in Sendai, but across the whole country.
Was there no concern from other family members? Employers? Teachers? Friends?
I think people DO know something is awry but they are too scared to say anything. It is better just to walk by and not risk people getting the wrong idea. Thats why people are too scared to to stand up for the elderly on trains, why no body helps a person who falls of their bicycle and nobody cares that a woman screams and cries in the house next to them every night.

Just awesome.
Hundreds of people out there are now 1480 Yen worse off - but they are strangely happy.
I love when stupid people have their money taken from them. A bit sadistic yes but it entertains me.

Not sure about the massive pumps that Japanese girls are clogging around in lately.
They are sure to cause injury while attempting to run away from me in a dark alley.
