What an idiotic prank! I hope those responsible are charged with man slaughter, at least. I can just them all hiding behind a car giggling and carrying on like 12 year olds waiting for them to fall in.

Great news! It's a shame it comes 30 years and a nuclear disaster late though. How many geothermal plants could TEPCO have built with the billions of bucks there gonna be paying out in compensation over the next two or three decades?

What is another week in Japan without two or three child deaths due to abuse? One would think there is a problem and a pattern, but that is only an observation.

I had a little chuckle when I read the article. This will go down just like all the other laws in Japan like, wearing a bicycle helmet if you are under 13, wearing a seat belt in the back seat, listening to an MP3 player on a bicycle, stopping at a red light, speeding and drink driving, nobody gives a fat rat's and this legislation is purely an 'on paper' law.

If anybody is wondering why Japan's culture and economy are going down the toilet, this scape-goat is the 14th Prime Minister to be replaced in the last 16 years. As a result, while these children have been spatting over who is the playground boss the country is getting flushed!

It is one thing to say it, but another to do it. Let's hope they get the j-flops out of their kobans and off their bicycles and get them out on the street 24/7 to stop drink driving.

Gees! Settle down a bit people! These kid's are served far worse foods at school lunch. 30grams of mildly ceasium contaminated beef is nothing compared to the toxins they get from fish and Chinese rice every other day.

So, why wasn't the mother arrested for leaving a four-year-old home alone? Because it is not illegal in Japan. It is normal!

Oh, but Japan is such a rich country! Ha, bloody ha!
JesuslovesJapan - The problem is, Japan's economy was built on the backs of scab labor and unpaid work with a post war population, of which, nearly 50% were under 30 years old at the end of WW2. Now, that generation is gone and the money is sitting in private safes across the country. Knowing this, it is pretty easy to understand why the economy has failed miserably over the last two decades and it is only gonna get worse.

The only psychiatric help and counseling these people have been given has been done by volunteers. It is a true disgrace that the j-gov just sits on their butts considering helping these people.

In Australia the fine for not wearing a seatbelt is $280 and three points. And, if it is a passenger not wearing a seatbelt the driver gets fined as well as the passenger. And, something that would be very odd in Japan is, the police are actually everywhere everyday stopping and fining drivers. Something that always struck me as odd in Japan is, the fine for not wearing a seatbelt and running a red light is 9,000yen, but a parking fine is 15-20,000yen. There is something seriously wrong with that.

I guess the gods of Shintoism were not in this kid's favor. Their faith and luck seems to be the only thing keeping many of them alive. I used to get upset by the negligence shown towards restraining kid's in cars in Japan, but I couldn't give two hoots anymore. I know my kid's are always restrained and I stop at red lights.

Sadly, even if Japan does acknowledge the haigue agreement they will make sure there are loop holes to be exploited. There is also the issue of no joint custody laws in Japan, which makes one ask, why would Japan even consider giving joint custody to a foreigner when they don't give it to the Japanese?

This happens every other day in Japan. The only reason this made news was cos of the amount. It amazes me that this kind of scam has been going on for years and has been well publicized, but these mullets still keep dishing out their cash. Just truly amazing!
