Another one? How many times a week do we have to read this same scenario before the Japanese realize there is a serious problem with infanticide in Japan. I know the article does not state the cause of death, but if she lied about the baby going missing she only did it to cover up the fact she snuffed the kid!

There is supposed to be a large earthquake in Tokyo today according to some ratbag scientist! I am sure drills like this help (not) considering how quickly the wheels fell of everything in March last year.

Gees! I always thought it was common sense not give kids under four or five years old nuts and hard candy. But, then again, this is Japan. The land that common sense forgot!

I didn't miss the point at all! Of course the population will drop as women stop having babies. I just get sick of hearing about Japan's mortality rate being so high cos it is based on a lifestyle from 70 years ago. That is all I stated. However, this report is still hogwash simply because the mortality rate has nothing to do with the birth rate, does it? Unless they expect women to continue having babies into their seventies, which wouldn't surprise me.

Personally, I don't think raising the consumption tax is the answer. I'd prefer to see corporate taxes and high salary earner's tax increased. There are too many corporate fat-cats living off the tax cuts they get. Increasing the sales tax by three-fold will only increase poverty and widen the already obvious class gap in Japan thus, plunging Japan into a huge depression which will be impossible to recover from due to the declining birth rate. They have to attack the money hoarders and not Naoki Average to rebuild Japan's economy.

Of course, this report is only relevant if the mortality rate stays the same as it is today, which is based on a lifestyle from 70 years ago. I have no doubt the mortality rate will drop in the next 20-30 years making this report hogwash.

I wonder if having the schools cleaned professionally would lower the spread of the flu in schools. The so-called 'osoji' is nothing but a dust over. The toilets never get disinfected cos it is a dangerous chemical for kids to use and I have never seen a handrail being disinfected either. Japanese public schools are disgustingly dirty bacteria factories!

There are so many people like this in Japan it is frightening! i can't believe how many people I see 'losing the plot' on a daily basis in transit. This is a rather extreme example, but it is all the same illness.

My guess is, it was Climax, or as it is known on the streets 'X'. There has recently been a flood of this stuff in Australia and the health authorities failed in their bid to have it listed as a controlled substance.

But, I also have to wonder how donkusai his mother was to not notice the kid was in severe discomfort using acid laced eye drops.
