Wow! I don't get it! If you have been to one of the many exotic pet shops in Tokyo you see hundreds of protected and endangered species for sale, including many Australian reptiles and marsupials. I guess this guy didn't slip the brown paper bag to the right authority.

I voted 'no' cos children's behavior can be influenced from many different sources. However, by contrast, children are still a product of their environment and 'usually' bad kids have bad parents. There are so many great parenting books available and yet, people still rely on what their mother or aunty tells them is the best way to bring up kids. One of my favorite books is, 'Toddler Taming' by Dr. Christopher Green. I read it many years ago and probably learned more about myself than kids.
In the case of property damage or compensation due to injury, it is usually the parents that end up footing the bill anyway, so regardless of the vote, parents are held responsible.

An all too often scenario. Yeah, Japan is 'the safety country', but who is gonna save them from themselves? People! People! Watch your damn kids!!!

Why do they always put corn on a pizza?

Crows, hmmm? Should their numbers be controlled? The crows in Tokyo are actually starting to evolve into their own sub-species. They are getting bigger and have adopted nocturnal feeding habits due to timing of the garbage being put out on the streets and the abundance of light in the city.

Was just reading an article on Yahoo explaining how this action could put an end to Japan's whaling for ever. The Oz gov is gonna intervene and use this as a platform for their case against whaling. It seems Japan may have shot themselves in the foot with this action.

Sadly, I see no alternative to dumping it into the ocean. Even if they do build more storage tanks they will still have to dump it eventually.

Reading Japan's defense of their "uhum" research is nothing short of rhetorical double-Dutch! Although, I think they have a pretty good case against SS. However, the US judge/s will also look at Japan's loop-hole research and hopefully throw their case into the south ocean.

I can't believe so many posts justifying this cos the kid, yeah a kid! Went into this loon's yard to get a ball. There is no justification for kicking a 9y/o kid in the face! It is a callous and brutal assault regardless of the kid being in his yard and this loon should be locked up!

What a hero! An eye for an eye, I reckon. They should get this guy to kneel down and let the kid return the favor, preferably with steel cappers on. 'king donkey's butt!!!

Yeah, that's right! Except for the fact that they travel halfway across the globe to have their calves. That would make for a pretty long fence, wouldn't it?

Um, isn't it research?
I fail to see how spending relief funds and travelling to the other end of the world to 'hunt' whales will help anybody in N/E Japan. They are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this Japathetic excuse. Surely, the 30 million bucks they are spending would get most of the 100,000 people out of shelters and back into houses.

Ok, so the meltdown was 8 months ago. They have only just detected cesium in the formula. However, the article fails to state when this tainted formula was produced. If it was produced directly after the meltdown then there should be a relaxed response. However, if this stuff was produced recently the alarm bells should be clanging loudly. Firstly because it means that large amounts have already been consumed. Secondly because it means the fallout is still quiyye strong and spread over a large area.

But, the question remains, is this a new leak from one of the recent quakes or is it just a newly detected leak that has been pumping radioactive water into the ocean and the ground water for 8 months?
