There needs to be more playground justice dished out in Japanese high schools to stop these pathetic little thugs picking on the defenseless.

Knowing how easily the Japanese get spooked and panic I have no doubt this will effect new housing sales across the country. Could be some good deals coming up on the property market very soon.

It seems that news like this pops up every other day. Last week it was cement used to build apartments. I fear the safety standards Japan has invoked are no where near stringent enough and over the two or three decades there will be a major increase in health problems related to exposure to radiation.

Was the baby really still-born? Guess nobody will ever know, but it is not too much of a stretch of the imagination to think she snuffed the poor little tike.

Not to be a straight up Japan basher, this happens way too regularly and it is a Japan specific thing. Yeah, it happens in other parts of the world too, but only in Japan does it happen with such alarming regularity.

In most cases the reactor itself will last for close to a century, but it is all the ancillary components that won't last. All they have to do is keep them well maintained and updated, but recent history has shown the electric companies can't be trusted to properly maintain them and the j-gov can't be trusted to properly regulate them, thus making this whole article a politically motivated pile of hogwash!

The website that shows you what your baby would look like with an AKB48 member is much better, not! This fad is both sexually exploitive and childish. Oh, Japan! When will you grow up???

Of course, everybody knows this increase will filter down to the little man as all the prices are increased to compensate for it. TEPCO should be decreasing the price of electricity by 17%.

You can bet there are more of these radioactive apartments. I hope the so-called 'probe' extends into tracing every ounce of tainted gravel from that quarry and any other quarries in the vicinity.

Here is as interesting article rom an Australian newspaper about why Japan hunts whales. It will not make the pro-whalers very happy though.

My sentiments exactly! It is odd how Australia's complaint to the J-Gov about the whaling ship entering Australian waters off Macquarie Island never made it into Japanese news.
How is this a solution? Is there a billion dollar industry built around watching cows? Have any governments poured millions of dollars into cow conservation? Are cows killed by having a grenade launched into their head? I am sorry, but I fail to see any comparison.
