It would have been hilarious to watch the flops chase the pig down. The way the article reads all 30 cops jumped on the pig.
One question though; Why didn't the cops shoot it?

I am always amused by these kinds of studies. The scientists openly admit they cannot accurately predict earthquakes yet turn around state they can predict are not more likely than before.
At least they didn't refer to the end of the Inca calendar next year, I suppose.

Sorry, but I doubt if the bicycle was at fault. Yes, neither child was wearing a helmet, but judging from the extent of the impact I doubt if helmets would have helped. I do agree many mothers do have a somewhat 'kamikaze' approach to riding their bikes, but the responsibility is on drivers to be aware of this. I cannot count the amount of times I have nearly been cleaned up pedestrian crossings in Japan. I actually got hit by a car on a crossing two weeks ago. No damage to me, but I stove the bonnet in fairly well when I jumped on it and then, I got a serve from the J-pigs for putting my foot through the grill of the car. My cash-out is still pending and the old coot is gonna cough up a few grand, for sure!
Drivers in Japan are the worst I have ever seen for a so-called 'developed' country. I felt safer walking the streets of Bali than I do in Japan. I hope this driver is found guilty and spends the rest of his miserable life in jail.

And, what exactly are they gonna do when it does build up? Send someone outside to collect it or evacuate everybody within a 400m radius?

You can't change history! But, it seems some countries never get over it! As much as Japan does have a somewhat 'black' history of events throughout Asia, it is about time these wankers stopped putting their hands out to bleed Japan Inc.

Nah, mate! You have that wrong. They do it because they know how Japanese law works. If you confess your crime and show regret you get a slap on the wrist and are free to bully your next victim that cannot fight back.

Glad they changed the headline to state it is only the reactors that are stable cos the plant is far from being under control.

Yet! We'll have to wait ten to twenty years before the people of Fukushima start dropping like flies.

Chilling! Glad the kid survived. How many more kids have to be abused and killed by their parents before the Jp welfare organisations stop saying, "Shoganai"?

What sort of loon would start abusing a sumo's wife? He is lucky he only got pushed and not squashed. Too many people in Japan fly off the handle at the first person they see for the simplest of reasons. Such a highly strung bunch!

Misleadingheadlinee! While the reactors 'may' be stable the plant itself is far from stable. There are still leaks in the reservoir and they still have no idea what to do with the thousands of tons of contaminated water. Not stable at all! Just a Christmas wish for the people!

For all those parents that feel they are gonna lose it I recommend you read 'Toddler Tamin' by Dr. Christopher Green. You will find that, the problem is not your kids, it is the way you deal with them. I read it some thirty odd years ago and learned more about myself than kids.

Um, is this double-Dutch or just public pleasing BS? Doesn't sound like they have anything solid to announce. How about the leaks in the reservoir? Have they stopped them yet?

Ah, parenting prowess at its best!
There is a serious need for some sort of parental education in Japan. No wonder 30% of the populace grow up to have some sort of emotional or mental disorder. Some of the stories I hear about parenting an disciplining in Japan are spine chilling.
