Yes, it's no big deal, just like Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, Welfare, were and are no big deal/ (sarcasm). These programs have totally changed the US for the worse. The republicans are the only ones who have any idea of all what freedom means. Healthcare is not a right; that is absurd. This healthcare bill is no different that slavery. Free! Free! Free! Kill your infants, bankrupt your living descendants, the fruits of your labor are someone ele's right!! The BEST healthcare system in the world trashed. Shortages of doctors... YES hope and chains. And people wonder how Hitler consolidated power... dumb Americans!!!

"Eye for an Eye" refers to limiting the punishment so that it does NOT exceed the crime - in other words, it is a call for moderation.

Hitting kids is not necessarily abuse; in some cases, NOT hitting kids is abuse. I know some readers in this forum subscribe to the never-hit-a-kid philosophy espoused by that nutcase Dr. Spock - gee, just look at how THAT generation turned out. That being said, these one year olds were abused by the lipstick and the taping of the mouths. That is extremely dangerous. The most telling comment is by AzabuSamurai, who seems to think it is the ward governments' responsibility to provide day-care. If you are the parent, it is YOUR responsibility. Such thinking is what leads the nanny state and then to totalitarianism....

Chrisjap, you are on the wrong side of history. With the facsist tendencies of the current administration, gun sales are through the roof. More appropriate to this thread is that states in the U.S. are starting to realize that "guns save lives." Look at D.C., a total ban on guns was relaxed and voila, violent crime - including murder - went way down. Where guns have been banned, violent crime has gone up. Those are the facts.

It is murder. But hey, we are all so cool and groovy, so ultra-hip that we can rationalize it by saying "we're pro-choice" - BUT WHOSE choice is it? Not the unborn child's. To accept the "choice" argument, one must view the child as nothing more than an disposable stone.

Health care is NOT a right! People who say it is, do not understand the concept of "rights". The U.S.is well down the road to totalitarianism. THIS IS WRONG! We have the BEST system in the world. The gubmit will not get one cent from me. Certain groups will be privleged, the economy will tank, and the gubmint will grow...
