Kukuchai- China has had ambitions to rule Japan for numerous centuries. Do a search on Kublai Khan in the 13th century. Ever wonder where the term "kamikaze" came from? Not WW2.

Interesting take paulinusa. Didn't think to look at it that way. I thought the Gints just did an excellent job on their blocking assignments. In my opinion, Bradshaw looked like he was trying to stop himself at the goal line to keep the clock running until someone tackled him (across the line of course). His momentum carried him into the endzone.

Cletus - "an personally with Japan's imperialistic warmongering background they should be the last nation to get the bomb"

Would you care to elaborate on who held warmongering and imperialistic ambitions first?? Do you suppose that Japan's motivations for expansion along with the use of liberal amounts of brutality in the first part of the 20th century had anything to do with the country (and the states it claimed suzerainty over) that had attempted on two occasions to destroy and subjugate it? I agree with your reference to background, just not with how far back in history you decide to reflect on. A vicious cycle.

And back in the NLCS when the Phillies were head hunting, Kuroda stepped up and brushed back their hitters. He gained a ton of cred in the clubhouse after that outing. First year in the Majors I believe as well. No fear for the Samurai.

When Kuroda is on he's very tough to beat. If he's off that day for some reason (very rare) then it's an early shower for him. I loved how he pitched for my Dodgers. Just wish we could have given him just a tiny bit more run support and he would have had very nice numbers to accompany the type of pitcher he is. True professional. Solid innings eater and very good command. As much as I loathe the Yankees I wish Kuroda the best.

Olrik - China has an active aircraft carrier? Active stealth fighter? Active anti-ship ballistic missile? Several years and billions of dollars down the road in my opinion.

You want to know how the Conservatives plan on "investing" in America? Starting a new war. As Marine Corp. General Smedly Butler stated "War is a Racket". Bush used war(s) to bring his sagging economic numbers up and show immense growth for the economy. Most of that growth was centered around the Military Industrial Complex (something General/President Eisenhower warned about). Defense related companies like Halliburton (VP Cheney) and several others (including big oil) generated huge profits but didn't put much back into the country. We've been at war for 10 years now. You think the Obama administration can invade a country to boost the economy?

Anyone remember Irabu? Might give some insight into why Igawa is toiling in the minors. The Yankees expect you to perform for the big bucks. If not, they have a decent minor league system and have no qualms about replacing you. Big contracts don't mean that much to them because they make gobs of cash. As it pains me to stick up for Cashman, the Steinbrenners and the evil empire, Igawa did not impress anyone during his time in the bigs. Go Dodgers and Kuroda!

Japan mopped the floor with the Korean squad last night. The Red Devils barely mounted any serious threats offensively. It seemed the ball was with the Samurai strikers for most of the night. Good game for Japan against a solid squad.

NK is just playing their usual games. They need to start pretending to come to the table so they can receive food and fuel aid for the next winter. Once the rice and oil has been delivered they will resort to provocations to reinforce the change in leadership from Douchebag Jr. to his favored douchebag son. Remember, people in NK have zero information on how NK is heading to New York talking peace treaty. The military will claim that they forced the West into giving up food/fuel for fear of a NK nuclear attack. F*@k em.

Republicans would not be even making these arguments if their candidate had won in 2008. They would be offering other lame excuses as to why our deficit skyrocketed.
