I never lived or studied in an English speaking country. I mostly learn by watching, reading medias, talking with people, etc. Please, please "native English speakers", do not use any "broken or grammatically incorrect English", it is extremely irritating and frustrating ! Exchanging with you is how we learn and progress !
Posted in: Why do some native English speakers use broken or grammatically incorrect English, when trying to communicate with someone who isn't a native English speaker, but who may understand some English? Do they think that somehow broken English is easier to understand?

In my opinion If people are bothered by it or not is not the point. The point is that when you are working for the State you are representing the State, therefore have to go by the State's rules and not be wearing any religious symbols. The same applies if you work for Mizuho or Delta you will have to wear their wonderful uniforms.

Sorry afroengineer, the "deal with it" was not particularly directed at you but was more of a generality toward people going to a state job interview with a religious costume and not understanding the concept of "secular state".

You see it everywhere, Universities in particular, where innovation and creativity should be valued ... http://207rewind.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/University-of-Maine-Presque-Isle-Graduation-Ceremony-2012.jpg At least ANA lets them choose their tie ;)

afroengineer, there is no law on scarves, but laws prohibiting ANY prominent religious symbols in schools and for state employees, it's not limited to Muslims. France is based on the separation of the State and the Churches, deal with it.

ElvensilvanMar. 29, 2013 - 12:41PM JST "Instead of teaching the world Japanese, why not teach the Japanese English instead?" Because not everything is around English, and because their goal is to promote their language and culture, makes sense to me.

I don't understand, I genuinely don't understand why people can be against it. Could someone give me a clear explanation and not the usual "the definition of marriage is between a man and a woman", which I can not believe it to be a true reason...

Afroengineer "And yes it is choice. When a child grows up, he goes throw many stages while learning about his sexuality and may have some gay tendencies but with this society promoting (not only accepting but promoting) being gay as cool and people boasting about having gay friends and supporting their rights, they are only encouraging homosexuality". Therefore you had to make this choice to ?

I am surprised to read so many people against same sex marriage... I am not sure to understand their reason. WTH do you care ?! What will change in your life ? Can't you be happy for people sharing life and loving each other ?! And all the "I'm not a homophobic I just don't agree with gay marriage. ", "I am not homophobic, I have gay friends", etc. Please think a second time about what you're saying. Hopefully in a few generations people will look at this period like we know look at racial segregation now ...

Yes Probie and tmarie, you are right it would be better to teach men to behave. We could not agree more. That's something which will need some time and, now, I don't see much will in public organizations to do anything about it ... I saw police men taking lightly and not following up on anything on a sexual assault/near rape situation, that's just disgusting.
