The evidence that Republicans have dunk for brains can be seen in the latest survey conducted by fox news about the outcome of the last debate. The respondents were 90% in favor of the the view that McCain won the debate. This stands in stark contrast to at least 4 other independent surveys that gave Obama a significant victory.
The world will indeed breed a collective sigh of relief, when those Republicans with their festering trickle down economic brew are relegated to the shadows of power.
These Republicans should all be arrested for squandering America's political, social, economic and diplomatic reputation that only a fundamental change in Government can restore.
The American people have had enough of these backward looking Republicans, who have remained in every sense adrift of the shifting feelings and concerns of the world.

This system of decent health care being available to all works quite well in Australia. My father who lives in America had to come to Australia for an operation that would have sent him bankrupt in America. Please try and look beyond your rear end, the health care system is fundamentally broken in America. A sure sign of its inadequacy is when you have its citizens seeking to access health care abroad because they can't afford it in their own country.

sailwind: It is not OJ's guilt or innocence that is at issue, it is more the wacko general statements about black people. The suggestion that they are largely not independent minded and are possessed of an inherent pack mentality. You can say whatever you want about OJ but the reality is that his recent trial in Vegas is one that is open to question in respect to jury selection.

You have used one case involving an highly polarized verdict to taint all black people. You have used it as a reference to extrapolate across the entire black community.
In fact, in your wacko generalization all black people across the planet regardless have being vilified in your remark.
This is as ridiculous as the charge of that not so smart Australian tennis player Leyton Hewith, who claimed that he was being cheated by the black official, who kept calling his first serve a fault because his opponent in the game was black.
Helter Skelter is suggesting that black people coming together for the purpose of jury duty will automatically enter into a conspiracy, for the purpose of perverting the course of justice. That this is their natural tendency and so can not be trusted if the defendant is black.

The share arrogance of pursuing an health care policy that leaves out millions is just unbelievable. Moreover, to suggest that these uninsured are merely illegal immigrants whom by and large deserve to have no access is simply false. The assessment of those who are deemed uninsured does not take into account the undocumented, as they exist to a large extent in a close parallel society that would not easily present itself for examination.
The uninsured the statistics speak off comes from main street America. Those working two jobs and struggling to feed their kids, those who are terrified of getting sick because of the potential for bankruptcy due the manifold cost it may incur.
The Australian health care system is fair and moral. The Government takes the view that good health care is a fundamental human right. Good health and access to health care should be an integral part of a country's strategic infrastructure building effort. I wont even go into the decline in the standard of individul health in America in comparison to other developed democracy

Americans love to brag about their medical technology. How it is better that everyone else and that they lead the world in this area and all that apple pie nose drip. The reality is that you have nothing; What is the point in having the best health care if 50 million can't afford or have access to it. Please give us all a break! I had surgery in Australia on my appendix and it cost me nothing, yes diddly squat. My brother on the other had who lives in America had to fork out 40k. GO FIGURE

The Republicans have been in charge for the last 8 years and just plainly refuse to take responsibility for anything except the surge.

This debate is going to be totally different from anything she has done before. It will challenge her knowledge base in just about every area. If Palin does poorly and is still elected she will basically have no influence or credibility as a VP. Her lack of knowledge will be laid bare for all to see. It would be difficult to come back from that position and expect to be taken seriously.
McCain thought he was being smart when he picked Palin, but he never factored in the debates, that she would need to talk to the media and have an opinion that extend beyond the Alaskan border. McCain's campaign will be sacrificed at the debating alter of incompetence and ineptitude.
This woman is no Hillery, the 18 million voters out there that sit in readiness to shatter that glass ceiling don't see her as qualified to lead that charge. Palin is exactly the type that these women are seeking to jettison, she does not represent their views or core belief.

Where is Sarge on this one? I am surprised he is not here defending the indefensible. When Palin was first selected and the stories about her personal life started to unfold the Republicans moved to Canonized her. They rallied behind her teenage daughter's pregnancy as if it was a badge of honor. Now they are virtually running for cover every time she speaks.
