    Haha, talk about inequality. Its was Ragan's festering trickle down economic brew that spoke directly to the inequalities inherent in the conservatives's economic policies. The fools notion that rich people will eventually allow dispersion of their well through the carefully propagated farcical trickle down system is a fools game. It just does not happen! The end result will always be the creation of an army of working poor unable to afford the basics in life. It is for those same reasons why the minimum wage under the conservatives have quantitatively remain the same, and the average worker no matter how hard they try remain locked in a spiral of poverty while the guy at the top grows ever richer. Now they have the nerve to even talk about the president's travel plan. It seems to me if we are going to discuss fairness then those conservative policies and its effects should assume preeminence over a trip to New York. How do they expect the President to get there, take the Bus and sit in the back.

    What are they planning? New and more innovative ways to further undermine the will of their people. More inventive ways to crush decent and guarantee that only their views are heard. When these regimes speak of world peace and individual prosperity we know what that means. That the peace will be kept on the basis of helicopter gunships, armored personnel carriers and the imprisonment of entrepreneurs whose plan clashes with the regime's agenda.

    500k per year is a very small income to run the country. Think about how much he could have earned on Wall Street. And here they are grumbling about a trip the man took to New York in aid of promoting greater closeness and romance with your partner. Its all a storm in a teacup. The Republicans are just looking for a cause. The man is cool and deserving of the job. Its the return of intellectualism to politics which for at least the last 8 years had been missing from the office of the Presidency.

    Obama's comments are very smart. A trade war based on old ideas would be further pain for the world. This notion about buy American is ridiculous. It should be buy what you can afford, and if the foreign made product is quality and offers a better deal then the choice is easy.

    bebert: who did they place the order with? My guess is its with those guards over there at Gitmo, who are well stocked and now want to off load stuff. They have to clear out the dungeons for the incoming Obama administration whom i suspect is going take all their asses to task on this matter.

    This shoe thrower is a total moron and deserves everything he gets. Imagine being there as a journalist and then to use the occasion to vent some personal feelings in such a dramatic way.

    He is obviously a crappy journalist lacking the ability to use the pen as a way of expressing himself. If he had hoped to gain any fame then he has certainly done so as an international idiot now facing some serous jail time.

    Seems to me the shoe throwing should be more directed at Al Qaeda for the wave of suicide bombings that have killed thousands, the Sunnies and Shiites who simply cant get along thus fanning the cycle of violence.

    The Gitmo posting for some soldiers was regarded as a vacation. A place for the most sadistic in the US military to put their sociopathic tendencies into practice. These are the soldiers who are destine to eventually commit some heinous crime on the mainland. The kind that the media describe as having been a good soldier but is at a lost as to why he killed his entire family and the neighbor he hardly new.
