Does this mean this mean the new system won't have refer to foreigners as aliens?

For a small fee, you can be upgraded to extraterrestrial.

It is not as easy as it looks. Check out that URL.

Seriously, it's not that easy, but it will be good for most of us who have been here for a while.

—Failing to continue to engage in activities as a spouse while residing in Japan for more than 6 months (except for cases where the foreign national has justifiable reason for not engaging in the activities while residing in Japan

Like Dentok2009, I think this one is interesting. I'm worried, too. I'm going to talk to my wife to see if she thinks my spouse activities are up to par.

Former Utah governor Jon Huntsman—who did not campaign in Iowa so he could focus on New Hampshire—said Tuesday’s results, in which he finished last, showed Republican voters still haven’t quite made up their minds. “You’ve got three people sharing a tie. And a whole lot of people are looking for an alternative,” the former ambassador to China told MSNBC television.

I would add that a whole lot of people are looking for an alternative and not finding it with Huntsman either. Serrano is right, and I bet Cain could at least make a good pizza.

“Slime molds do not have a central nervous system, but they can act as if they have intelligence ..."

Even people with a central nervous system don't often act that way...

Provided the price they pay is fair, this sounds like the best idea they've had so far.

I thought raising it to 65 was a done deal... Still, I do like HollisBrown's suggestion... 31 is perfect.

It's not about concern for Japan, I think. A cheap dollar will boost sales figures in the US, which will, temporarily at least, make things look like they're getting better.

Yet neither the Australian nor New Zealand investigations were able to come to such a conclusion.

The New Zealand investigators basically said that neither ship's master had taken sufficient actions to avoid a collision. They say, among other things:

"...Our report will now be tabled before the International Maritime Organization and supports its recent resolutions condemning protest actions that put lives at risk at sea. ..."

People were hurt when the SM2 deliberately rammed the Ady Gil. Obviously that is not OK. The ships SS have sunk were in port and their sinking inflicted nothing but monetary damage. Huge difference.

Yes, huge difference. In the first case I would guess the charge would be something like aggravated assault or attempted murder, depending on the circumstances, and in the second case it would be probably be malicious destruction of property. Either way, we throw people in jail for these crimes, so I still call them criminals.

People like whales, or think whales are more intelligent than other animals, or think whales shouldn't be killed on moral grounds, or whatever, but the fact that the Sea Shepard folks agree with you on this issue doesn't mean that the things they are doing are legal or moral. Many of you seem to have no idea what tactics they have used, or just think that all tactics are okay, as long as you are attacking Japanese fishermen. I don't agree with this, and I don't think you should either, no matter what you think about whales, and no matter what you think about Japanese people.

Farmboy "criminals" is a term I think applies more to a nation who tries to mask commerical whaling as "science".

Sorry, my answer was deleted. I don't really know why, as I think it was on topic, and not insulting to anyone. Maybe they will let me say the following:

The Sea Shepherd has a record of attacking Japanese ships, and have put the crews of ships in danger. They do not deny this. This is not a good way to protest whaling. I do not agree with using violence to either support or to oppose whaling.

I wouldn't think the debris would be so radioactive. This would be stuff washed away by the tsunami before the plant broke down, and of that, it would be the stuff that floats. You'd be in more danger from the now radioactive fish that migrate between the Tohoku area and the US West coast, in my opinion.

The Sea Shepherd is a criminal group. Anyone selling them drones is an accomplice. And I like whales.

Maybe Jero can teach her some enka, and the older women could dress her in a traditional outfit. That might be fun for everyone involved. If she's just going to do her usual, though, it won't fit the program. People will be polite to her, as she has done a lot of good with her fundraising, but while some will watch the program because of her, some will turn it off because of her.

“Imagine you will be able to walk up to an ATM machine to securely withdraw money by simply speaking your name or looking into a tiny sensor that can recognize the unique patterns in the retina of your eye,” IBM said.

On the movies, retinal scans always lead to eyeball-plucking, and fingerprint IDs lead to finger-slicing. I hope they think this through. I'm guessing they'll do away with ATMs altogether, and people will download money from their virtual savings in the cloud to their implants.

Full quote: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

I'm not sure where the yellow-sign people stand on religious tolerance, but I'm never been much for the combination of religion and aggressive sales techniques anyway, especially when it's focused on non-group members.

Even with no religion and just advertising, "Eat at Joe's" is okay, but "Don't eat at Bob's" is annoying.

He may not have that position much longer.

Good news, if this is a reflection of his beliefs.
