A lot of thing about how SMAP music sucks, but let me remember you guys that SMAP are a group of dancers, not singers. Same goes for EXILE, Kat-Tun & the rest.

I'm seeing iPad style tablets in all seats soon, even economy class, cause that will soon be cheaper than the "entertainment system" already in place.

So game & movies & news on the iPad instead of (most of the time) crapy screen.

Wouldn't do on Emirates, though, they have a kickarse system even for eco !

On related news, Prime Minister Wen says basically the same stuff as Liu, on CNN. "I believe freedom of speech is indispensable for any country ... I often say that we should not only let people have the freedom of speech. We, more importantly, must create conditions to let them criticize the work of the government," he said.

And I actually believe he is sincere. So the question is : will he get purged, or is change actually possible.

That's funny to hear such a remark from this guy, considering the number of suits these days that sport a good chapatsu.

I'm not sure he'll have so much fun, cause the FSB seems to be quite interested in the Russian arm of BP too. http://www.rferl.org/content/article/1079669.html

@Pukey2 : Well, "Chie" definitely is a Japanese name, but MistWizard is overly generalizing both about Japanese & Western behavioral patterns.

All those sound straight out of drama and/or harlequin-style books. But that's no wonder considering the quality of the question in the first place...

Or a lot of guts. But still, I don't think that's quite it. Group effect, more like. Confidence through your peers. And there are a lot at the Japan Expo.

I left France a while ago for Japan, but I may return one day and not be shocked too much by any difference with my present home !

Google check results don't mean something is true. Before it was the JMSDF flag, it used to be the Imperial Japanese Navy flag. The same kind of pattern of a rising sun flag exist for other uses too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RisingSunFlag

It is still considered a sign of militarist and imperialist Japan in most neighboring countries, though, and used to be forbidden during the American occupation.

It's not just hooligans. I do not support those actions, but nothing changes and anger is rising, so it does not come as a surprise either.
