Interesting...and yet I'm beginning to hear more and more about Chinese having similar tendencies as Americans in particular things in life...such as love. I agree persistance pays off. My J guy never got me because he was too afraid. Gotta strike while the iron is hot and stand up for yourself. Be honest about your motives and you'll never know what you might get.

I love a man that can cook!! So, I agree with the teenage girl who said okonomiyaki would be a good thing to cook. Its such a fun dish to make and the more decorative it looks A for effort on the guys part. Maybe I'm biased because this is actually my favorite dish.

Well thats no suprise... honne tatemae comes into play with every situation in the Japanese society. I wonder how many have actually made true friends in their lifetime...but they always speculate that a gaijin is *lonley *. Meanwhile they will never acknowledge the fact that their own lives need adjustment in terms of **true bonding ** instead of superficial interaction or reputation. They lack so much...

Did anyone notice how it said WEST COAST...thats where most other asians reside besides NY. I doubt he'd be popular on the east coast though... He'd be made a complete joke by Jay-Z and a few others.
But overall I think since he's african american he could grow into being more than just a sterotype. He just has to know where to start.

This is too funny. Aparently the "system" has been creeping around for a long time and has finally been discovered through marriage. People are designed to work in Japan...thats the primary source of their life. If women can't see that through their own profession or of the friends in people they know, then obviously they're superfically duped into believing in a happily ever after fairytale. But thats how it goes: You live to work not work to live.

hmmm... I've been reading previous comments but apparently this topic but I did see the documentary and I think its really about reminding people not to follow the worlds moral standards. HE practically sang songs about stuff people still cant handle... racism, segreation, discrimination, the earths condition. I think no matter what the publicity or anything that did or did not happen with him and children has NOTHING to do with this movie. I truly believe he did this to remind people to keep whats important in mind. And thats something that remains to be seen ANYWHERE on this earth. As far as Im concerened he was agreat activist and this movie would inspire others.

I agree to this entirely... there is so much pressure to be accepted under the rules of the group and finding solitude is also peaceful for the mind. Some people discover more when doing by themselves than they do if there with a significant other or a group. ROCK ON ENTERTAINMENT OF SOLITUDE!

“Wasn’t Obama supposed to fix this?” asked the mother of two who said she has lost three jobs since November as one employer after another went under.
What's all this Obama alone stuff... did not occur that the Administation, Congress and other officals have been racking their brain 24/7 to derive ideas to help motivate and stimulate the US and get support from the citizens....but of course if it were she ... she would have all the answers and America would be saved...
People really need to close their mouths if they have nothing to contribute to what's been going on... I may be wrong but I think she voted for the wrong President because this on is trying to consider ALL sides even if the outcome will failt he U.S. I would have so socked that lady...

Apparently, this whole system of drink spiking by bar tenders is by far more clever then having some wild stranger do it. Honestly, whether the secret mechanism is to get foreigners to go home or to get quick cash and do away with most of these peoples money. I laugh because any regular open attraction such as Roppongi, Las vegas or any other party district is bound for those things. Common sense would indicate not to go where areas of trouble (gang fights etc) are started.

I think its just a matter of trying to believe in being apart of another world. People dont have faith in the world around them then of course they won't knwo how to except it and evolve with it... despite the superior ideals of their culture... a great psychologist and philospher once said " the robot doesn't need faith since it has no life either..."
