Turkish rice - I find that expression a very big insult to Turkey which has just such an outstanding cuisine.

As a woman, I would never put myself in such a dangerous situation in the first place. I know that some places in America are more dangerous than others, so why live there? The 911 guy could have told her to shoot him in the leg or something but to kill him was a bit too much.

Nobody is allowed to board a ship without the permission of the owner. Those guys should study maritime laws before doing such things. It is the same than intruding a house. They were lucky that they were not in Oklahoma.

I usually really like statistics but not this one. In other words, there have been 26.6 earthquakes per day on average, that is 1 every hour.

And then he said: Never, never, never, never give up. That's what Churchill said not long after the Blitz. The only thing is that Japan was on opposite sides at that time and lost the war. It feels a bit strange for Noda using that quote.

I am pretty amazed about the intelligence of my Black Tetra fish. Everytime I shake the yellow fish food container, they all gather near the spot where I feed them, looking at me. Gotta find other fun ideas to train them for something. Any good ideas anyone?

Posted in: The DPJ promised not to raise the sales tax and they’re going to raise it. Noda is staking his job on this, so he should call an election to ask the public.

Yes, Japan just skipped the SMS part to my annoyance. I thought at the time that Japan was old fashioned, still there are many of my friends back in Europe who still don't have email on their cell phones. So, my struggle continues.

Cutting the mochi into little pieces might be hard to do for the elderly., even I find it hard to break the pre-incised ones into 4. They should sell smaller mochis for the elderly. RIP
If I am addicted to anything, it has to be mochi. I love eating them in all kinds of forms and tastes and I really have to control myself a lot when I see some somewhere I haven't tried yet.

Unless he knew what CrazyJoe says, he would be the greatest looser. Why would anyone successfully go into hiding for 17 years and then turn himself in? If we were in Norway, he would get away with everything easily. I hope he will write a book too about his time hiding out, I would buy that one.
