Just love the Harley Davidson shops and their great leather goods. Bought my bike leather jacket there and it is still as good as new. That's what I call quality. My dream is an ultra classic FLH....saving now...

That's just why I love Japan so much, the changing variety of goods is just amazing. The rest of the world is just so boring. What's wrong with Pepsi Azuki? Tastes good to me, too bad they stopped making the chocolate Pepsi. But the absolute winner must be Lawson's Uchi Cafe's vanilla rolls, no wonder they got the Gold Medal at Monde Selection in Brussels. I only wished they would bring the choco-coconut Pockys back.

Apparently it was an unusually long one. Let's hope there was not too much damage and that our Mexican amigos will overcome it. RIP

idf66, it is not only your car. There are many cases like that. There seem to be some 'eco' discrimination going around. Some years ago I redid my whole house with eco panels, claimed tax break but never even got an answer. Then I checked with the manufacturing company and they too thought that they were being treated unfairly. You would think that some bribing is going on...

Thanks God they are ok in Okinawa, after all earthquakes on an island are really scary because you can't escape.

Very nice shot but you can't see that beautiful umeboshi color. Must be difficult to shoot. I made a wish when it eclipsed and it became true. Thank you Selene, I will worship you forever.

I like the controversy here: bringing a peaceful end to the 10-week demonstration by tearing down tents at the Occupy Boston encampment and arresting dozens of protesters.

naruhodo, I am not spending often but I spend more when I do on good quality things. Then, tell those companies to stop selling me crap and I will buy their product. Producing less but of better quality would benefit both the company and the customer.

We have a nasty gang of crows up here. Very noisy and they constantly poo on my wooden deck. Thanks God it is winter and they have moved south. I wished we could get rid of them. Apparently they are very tasty.

Those tax breaks can't be very high since the article doesn't even mention it. No thanks, too many problems with those overpriced cars. I will keep mine and go with NeverSubmit's scenario A

ElBuda, we had very clear skies up here and it wasn't that cold, only -7C. I sat outside the whole time in my down pants and jackets, nice and warm, (Mont-Bell rocks) and watched this marvellous phenomena. It was my first time to see one. They are much rarer than solar eclipses.

This one looks very pink. Thanks JT for all those beautiful pics of Christmas trees in Tokyo I would never get to see otherwise. Keep them coming, at least one a day, so that I can sleep in peace.

Agree with It'sme about the wood oven, that's the main point. Then the quality of flour, yeast and most importantly the technique of kneading the dough are the secrets to a good pizza. It is easy to make pizzas with a thick crust, so I can't count that as an art. Japan has many good pizza places, they taste often better than in rip off tourist restaurants in bella Roma.
