    Monster!!! One of thousands. JT you monitor all my posts. How many times have I said Monster now? It's because you keep exposing these stories.

    I need these articles to keep coming. It's the only way Family Court judges are going to start listening to the men and awarding joint custody.

    Not sure where society got this absurd idea that pregnancy would automatically transform a woman into a superior more qualified caregiver. Following this post will be countless women defending their gender based ego.

    It's simple. Women's body perform the function of carrying the fetus. If she was running the streets, in the club, possessive and self-centered before pregnancy. She'll just revert to her normal self but now she's in charge of a child.

    This is the result.

    As always I thank JT for bringing these stories to light. Even if we do disagree at times please keep these articles coming. Someday men will be equal to women in society.

    It's so sad and frustrating to read articles like this over and over. Something must be terribly wrong in a society where laws protect more the old than the young, where a child murdered or left to die is less important than a man in his 60's. I've been discussing this subject with a very close Japanese friend of mine who is a historian and I've been told something about the value between a young child and a senior in Asian countries, especially Japan, Korea and China. It would explain a bit why we are still dealing with weak useless laws that generally allow child abusers/murderers walk free or with a suspended sentence. Killing/Abusing a child is too different from killing a grown adult. It seems they place more value on the eldest. Complicated issue but I hope you get the idea.

    I really hope Joint custody can become law someday soon. Not all women are qualified to have or raise children. I have seen single fathers that would put those women to shame. The whole idea of (some) irresponsible mentally unstable or just simply evil women being given the preference over responsible, devoted and loving fathers makes me shudder.

    Whooops! I know exactly what you mean now.. The "doubling her/her age" part. What I really meant was about the normal average...few years, sometimes some more. But couples like she's 60 and he's 30 or he's 50 and she's 25 its not extremely common. It's like you say..pretty rare. Sorry for my mistake. It is a lot more common people 5~7 years of difference especially between Older woman Younger man. Thank you for pointing that out, you are right. My Apologies. :)

    Not it is not. If an older woman marrying a younger man was a rarity, it would way often on the news and magazines, like the National Enquirer? Where does it says that a person, actually a woman, must date/marry someone older than her ONLY? Is there a new law I don't know anything about? Hmm. Just let it go. Not you, not me, not any one will tell another person with who they need to be with. If you care about another fellow man going to bed with a women older than he is, then YOU have a serious, serious problem. :-) Cheers~

    Everyone has the right to love, don't they? Good for the "cougars" to do their job, after all us men do the same thing when we get to that age (I'm not old but it is understandable, its an age thing).

    So according to your generalization: "In your own country ALL men get to a certain age when they have to look for a young thing, and if they are married, that would mean they will cheat in order to get the young thing". This is exactly what you just told us by posting a gross generalization on your comment. The "us men" is only inside your head. It's only YOU, don't drag all men into your own convictions. It's like someone saying "All men are smelly and they leave the toilet seat dirty" You see now? It's very unfair for them. Have a good one.

    Foreigners wanting to bring their "cougar" terms and culture into a country that doesn't really give a rat's ass about age. It is not a rarity about a young man marrying a woman doubling his age, same with a woman marrying a man doubling her age, The Japanese don't care and pay no attention to something as insignificant as someone's age. Generally speaking that's how they are. I've been here forever, I have been witness to the broad differences between here and there. In America, Canada and perhaps other western nations to be a 80 year old man and marry the 20 year old girl seems completely acceptable and cheered on but for some men..the 45 year old "Cougar" to date a 30 year old man is an abomination so to speak. God forbid a woman dares to date someone younger than her. That must be a freak and sick person..or so they say. It shows the sort of society you are living in. Some of these men labeling these women "Cougars" must be really ego bruised and deeply hurt inside. They feel intimidated and highly threatened that other men dare to be with whoever they feel like regardless of age. Admit to your own failure to accept others. Admit that you are jealous and hurt. If you didn't envy them, you wouldn't have anything negative to say here. It's despicable for people to come to this country with their own generalizations and unfounded stereotypes. Looking down on Japanese men as well. I know a lot of wonderful amazing people, men and women in this country. Can't really use terms like "Japanese this, Japanese that, all Japanese blah blah" when I refer to them. I like the term "some" when I talk about something. I don't like dumping everyone in the same category. It's insulting and disrespectful to act as if everybody was the same when they are not. I have zero problems with an old man dating/marrying a young woman, same with an old woman dating/marrying a young man. Same gender couples as well. If they are happy, good for them. If they are solely looking for a thrill, good for them. You come here and insult these women you call cougars by tell telling them that their young guys must having someone young on the side. That they are just being played and lied to. LOL Did ever occurred to you how many young girls are in the same situation with a man doubling their age? Some of these young women who are with these old men just because they are in love with their money, not them. They feel repulse to have such old guy touching them, they feel ick. But the money is worth waiting for. Patience and tolerance. Ugly cases like this happen both ways. Get off your high-horse and stop denigrating these people. They are free to date and marry whoever they want, regardless of age!! You will not come here and dictate your own biased personal views. Your country is not the world example nor is your society. Don't bring your own foreign morals and values in here because it doesn't work like that. If Japanese people are ok with them, good for them, if not..good for them as well. I am nobody to criticize both groups. Old men with young women, Old women with young men. I'm happy for both and wish them the best regardless of their real intentions and goals. Every single man and woman is different...everybody is unique. Generalizations are despicable and make this thread nauseating. Enough with it. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Live and let live!     No worries there, my friend. People thumbing down are just afraid to debate me in a civil way. Besides, the gross and unfounded generalizations are going through the roof already. What's wrong with some people in this thread that feel so intimidated and perhaps ego-hurt for them to look down on young men dating older women. They are NOT insulting older women, they are insulting the young men that date them. Nothing like being bruised and scorned to spew some generalizations and garbage in a thread. Live and let live.

    I'm 40. My Japanese girlfriend is 20. She's smarter and more mature than all the women that I've dated older than her... and she can kick my ass (2 blackbelts in 2 different forms of karate). Have you ever asked yourself what a young ripe 20 year old want with an old 40 year old man? True Love you think?

    Women my age have WAY too many issues. I've dated women in Japan aged 16 to early 40's. (Yes, it's legal to DATE 16-year-olds)

    Legal for you, completely immoral and tasteless for the average person. We are NOT talking about someone 18 or 19 years old but 16. A teenager. What are you doing hanging around with a teenager? (they are still developing physically and sometimes mentally!) Ugh Would you like a man on his 40's or 50's preying on your daughters? Preying on a 16 or 17 year old is a whole different game that shouldn't even be considered in this day and age. Legally they are still minors. Morally, normal healthy men or women don't go after teens. The ones that do usually end up arrested and labeled as Pedophiles for the rest of their lives. I'd stay away from them if I was you. By dating you may not be having sex with her, but seeing her as such is ugly trouble enough IMHO. Recipe for disaster.

    High school / university girls are more mature than women closing in on 30. Japanese women may not lose a lot in looks when the get older, but they lose a lot in spirit, general joy in life and tend to revert back to bratty, selfish 6-year-olds, if they're cute, or just mother figures for guys that need a tit to suck on, which brings me to my next point....

    And what makes you think you have the authority to tell those young men who they can date or not? If they want to date old women, let them. It is not up to you, isn't it? Your gross generalizations are outstanding. Have you date the whole 30's~40's Japanese women in the whole world to know this for a fact? Feel free to tell us if you have, please. :-)

    Young guys just want older women because they want an OL to pay their bills while their boinking someone their own age.

    Again, who are you to tell them all this? Is it because you fear your 20 year old girlfriend may be using you the same way? Letting you pay all her expenses now while secretly dating some fresh young fox on the side? I mean seriously, you are NO match for someone her young age if she so decides to leave you for a better looking younger man. Let's face it. The ugly truth goes both ways. There are NO guarantees that she won't leave you for someone younger, much younger and fresher than you are. So please, do not tell others what they need to expect from such relationships. I think you are in the exact same place as they are. Like working your butt off to keep her with you perhaps? ;-) Let's be fair and considerate and stop the generalizations and stereotypes as they are despicable and completely UNFAIR to those involved.

    Good Points. Generally speaking, some young women/men might be mature for their age while others might be a nightmare to be around with. Same with older women/men. Some are way mature and stable, while others act as if they where teenagers looking for a thrill. It's very diverse. Every single person is unique. I've been with women my age and 2 or 3 years younger and there were some noticeable and somewhat conflicting differences. Can't say they were bad. We just didn't grew fond of each other. Perhaps in another situation, we would have. Depending on the person. Again, every person is different. Perhaps my choices at the time, were not the best. Now my spouse is almost 9 years older than I am but from the first moment we met, I knew she was the one. We're happy and stable. Age doesn't play an important part, but her way of thinking, morals and values does. I'd still be with her if she was 20 or 60. I can't judge someone based solely on their age. It's a two way street. You will never know until you try. All I can say, for some reason, I'm thankful I'm with my own kind. I don't need to put up with either ugly and despicable extremist feminism or chauvinism for that matter. I don't need to conform to others or do what society expects from my gender. I will do and act as I see fit without fear of repercussions or retaliation. As long as it is legal under law and moral in your heart, I see nothing wrong with being with someone regardless of their age, young or old.

    I was once married to a woman 3 yrs older, and the sex was abysmal.

    Around 40ish, some women may be intent on making the best of their disappearing youth, and may make great bed-mates for a while. For anybody tempted (or persuaded) to take things further, just remember child-bearing can be a big problem, and that menopause is just around the corner. "Cougar" or not, the menopause years will be very, very different.

    Sorry, but what would you say to a woman married to you once you hit that dreaded point (somewhere between late 40's and early 60's) when you can't get an erection anymore? What about the so called male-menopause when sperm is no longer healthy and lacks motility? And your prostate? Those awful and painful infections that won't let you leave the restroom all night. Child-bearing is not an issue when you are decided to not have kids, a mature person will respect that decision. No one can force anyone to have children. Now if you thought that only women become useless and worth discarding because "menopause is around the corner" excuse me but I think such statement is not only disrespectful but extremely inhumane towards the ladies in this forum and everywhere. If you don't want a woman because of the fear of menopause, perhaps you can find more compatibility with the same gender? I sure did. ;-) The truth of the matter is that both men and women will age no matter what they do. It's inevitable. It's what life is all about. Let's not get carried away looking down on a certain gender, please. Cheers~

    lol i never said it was something degrading imho cougars are awesome! They know what they want and how to get it, but i wouldnt want to stay with one forever its more of a fad kind of thing

    I think I read somewhere about the similar thinking of certain young women marrying wealthy old men. They stick around waiting for the right time to inherit everything. Then, once they have all your money, they will marry a guy their own age. The old, now poor man is left alone with nothing. Both young beautiful woman and all the money gone like the wind. This scenario is far from fantasy, it has happened a lot.

    My point is that not every young woman would be interested in a man that's too old for her. Every single woman is different. Same with the men, I think. Someone will be interested, but another will not. Don't generalize. I don't discriminate based on age, color, race, creed, etc. I'm more into "real" values, character, personality.. not breast size, bum, etc. Physical attributes will fade with age. Love, respect and morals will not, hopefully.
