Pail, because every American tabloid was laughing at European aviation. Just give back their money. Now, 787 is not without issues, as some would like to show.

Despite lies I hear here and there, not one single Chinese has been bothered in Japan. Not a shop has been touched.

Japanese people miss the general term in nationalism. Nationalism is about loving and defending your country, not hating other's countries! China need to be kept at check. If Japan gives up, they will have to give up the whole place.

Japan is just trying to protect its possessions. I see images of despear, and on the other side I see destruction and hate. I was in a Chinese restaurant, owned by a Chinese (HK, not Taiwanese) and the crowed was there, eating and chatting.

China wants to rule the world. Chinese are educated like that, we need to deal with that now, before it is too late. Or is it already?

So it is "excited dirty racist right wing fascist" Japanese against "clean nice polite always discrete and quiet" Chinese, uh? Something is wrong here.

The real face of China is showing!

    Alex:

Tokyo Gov Shintaro Ishihara has raised 1.45 billion yen in private donations over the last several months to buy the islands from the Japanese family that owns them.

I see China as pre-WWII Japan, but not looking for equality (what Japan was looking for) but for race dominance.

I see bad times coming in that part of the world:

And Koreas are just going to follow them to their end.

I can see the Korean right wingers (aka K-government) starting a war against Japan because they "feel" they are being offended by old colonial country against the rocks. Korea is so much prepared for war, with weapons and mindset of its population.

    Scary time indeed.

Alternate Universe: "Will they be arrested? Trespassing is still trespassing, isn't it?" Japanese citizen on Japanese soil, why would they be arrested? Illegal Chinese on foreign soil, without regular papers, that requests deportation.

Try to go to China without proper visa.

I have no interest in any of both countries. First I was amused by the interpretations. Now, looking into details, the truth is difficult to get because of approximations and misunderstanding of old documents on both sides. Now, have been in both countries intesively, I can say that, even if tomorrow Japan was going to recognize this islet as korean land, we will see Koreans complaining and cry "cunning Japanese".

It is a deep resentment, educated early at school, and it won't leave any time soon.Same thing for women of courtesie, even if Japan write sorry all over the country and kill half its population in apologies, that won't be enough. This will never end. Now, I don't see the real fuss here. The islet is occupied by Korean military, armed to the teeth, and Japan has no power to take it from them. That could be settled very easily, but that would not be acceptable to many that hold power, and their servants.
