Let's compare cars to women. Feel free to do a version with men. I don't have the time.

Japanese: A reliable little housewife. Dependable and careful with your money.

American: You met her in a bar, she dresses like a slut and has tattoos. You pay on dates.

German: Wears well cut business suits and whips you mercilessly in the bedroom. You pay, dirt pig, you PAY.

How about putting a different beer in it? I am utterly sick of Japanese beer. It ALL tastes the same.

Whats the deal with taxes? 100% of car taxes are earmarked for the Department of Unnecessary Road Works? (as I recall)

Japan may, one day, be hailed as the masters of zero growth stability. Many economists are mired in the idea that no growth = stagnation = something bad. BUT, what if the situation requires a slow easing of the economy simply because growth would be a forced bubble?? The results of which would be the world economy right now.........for example.

Do you hear worries about Japan's debt cancer threatening the stability of the world economy?? NO, you don't.

And let's not forget that Japan has only recently lost it's crown as No#2 economy to China recently. Japan had kept that title with one tenth the population of China and one third that of the USA for 25 years.

Posted in: One of Japan's biggest problems is its refusal to admit its economic system has failed.

What comment could you make in such a situation???

    1. Doh! Busted, you got me.
    2. Deny deny deny.

Maybe Japan could become like the US where EVERYONE is taking anti-depressants because the TV doctor told them to?

    Balance in everything.

No to the trial: historically things are always better if you kill the King outright. No exile (they just come back one day) No trial (yawn, snooze, foregone conclusion) No prison (same as exile)

Kill them and they are DONE.

It's brutal, it's barbaric, it's uncivilized and it WORKS.

So; good riddance to bad rubbish.

Wow! plus $289 million for a plastic recycling business and about the same again for a cosmetic company that uses mushroom bacteria and flogs it door to door.

Might I suggest that Tsuyoshi Kun has been lining his pockets through kickbacks. Or he is insane.

I always wondered how the Y100 kaiten sushi shops managed to put 2 tuna sushi on a plate for Y100.

Loopholes are everywhere: Since ivory was banned there has been a huge surge in "russian mammoth tusk" as an alternative. As russian mammoth tusk is not covered by the ban it is imported freely. DO YOU REALLY THINK that the tundra is sprouting mammoth tusks like asparagus in spring? Or could it be poached tusks from modern day elephants treated in a chemical bath to age the appearance??

The Golden Rule of dealing with Japanese companies: SAVE EVERYTHING. EXPECT NO GRATITUDE. EXPECT NO RESPECT.

Oh yeah! and NEVER go to war with the boss.

Yeah! Canada tried that in the 60's w/ their CANDU reactor program. Problem is that when a country gets nuclear power they are also getting the equivalent of a DIY nuclear bomb kit. It's not really such a huge leap from a power station to a weapon.

Soooooooooo, how they gonna handle that issue??

Sounds like a Bollywood classic in the making. Rajiv, the hard working & industrious line worker falls for Rahna the company owners beautiful daughter. Cue the dance scene with assembly robots as backup dancers.

Interesting conundrum for Subaru. You can argue that they need the Chinese market to grow. You can argue that they don't need the Chinese market to survive long term. Whatever. But it would be fun to see the blank expressionless faces on the Chinese bureaucrats when Fuji execs. go in to argue their point.

    Payback?

FINALLY Obama is realizing that todays Republican party is manned by dangerous psychos who would happily run the USA into the ground just to spite their opponents.

You cannot reason with the unreasonable. So don't even try.

Toyota has the Koreans nipping at their heels these days in the US market. The Koreans are producing some seriously stylish and technologically advanced cars at a lower price point. Toyota previously had bullet proof quality on their side (and they still do) but in many ways the Koreans have surpassed them.

Ha ha ha! Silly Obama. He still thinks that the republicans are going to appreciate him being reasonable and do something non-partisan for the benefit of the American people.

The current batch of Republicans are spiteful, vengeful people who would rather sink the ship and all the innocents on board if they can't be captain.

"... down the road to economic and financial ruin"

    You're confusing Cheney with Obama.

Are all republicans brainwashed at birth ??? or do they only recruit fro the ranks of the ultra-thick?? I'll spell it our real simple like so y'all can understand.

When Clinton left office America had money in the bank. 8 years of Bush / Cheney misrule and theft left America with NO money and hugely in debt. Obama was given this mess and has to fix it. (which he can't, but that's another issue)

But as you're obviously a republican there is no point in even trying to reason with you.
