I remember JAL were going to avert their fiscal crisis by not painting their jet-engine-intake-turbine-shaft-nose-cone with spirals (used by crew to visually check if the engine is turning or not).

Net result, nada.

In fact JAL later had a crisis when they got the left side and right side engines…

I don't really think that the mind-set of a Hostess will translate well into a care-giver.
