featherhead:"That anyone would even be listening to such a buffoon in the first place doesn't bode well for the U.S."

Bang on,compadre! If it were Europe or Canada limbaugh would be banned from broadcasting his stupid hate-filled TV show.

I often have to patiently lecture my American friends that free speech IS NOT ALWAYS a good thing.

Well,my many friends,it is plain as day that limbaugh is EXTREMELY prejudiced. Also, methinks he is undoubtedly one of the biggest hypocrites in the world, ever, with any kind of voice.

And I'm just glad said hypocrite's terrible and extremely boring TV show is NOT available here in Hirakata.

The hoser claims that calls for aid too Haiti are politically motivated ONLY, and yet what is his message? His message is hate, plain and simple.I guess he is STILL smarting from the shellacking his hero mccain took in the last presidential election.Just par for the rink with a repub.

I have to guess he is just JEALOUS of Barack's wonderful baritone voice.

Well, anyways, extreme kudos to the vigilant Obama White House for calling attention to his racist commentary.I guess it's not just Obama he hates.

Limbaugh ALSO wants Haiti to fail.

    Disgusting!

zurcronium:"If Lincoln were alive today he would not be a modern republican. He fought against the racists that are the republicans today. If Lincoln were alive today he would not be a modern republican. He fought againt the racists that are the republicans today."

Yahtze! Great postage, mon ami. It's just too funny watching SOME Americans try and argue that Lincoln was a member of the same party as today's repubs,or that Democrats of thirty years ago are the same as those of today.Democrats of 50 years ago OPPOSED civil rights efforts of the proto-Democrat Eisenhauer.

It's just typical repub racism. Said racism is ALSO present in their opposition to the kind of health care you and I are blessed to have in Canada. As Harry Reid proudly said about his party US Democrats have been fighting for A HUNDRED YEARS to get nationalized health care.

Well, I am relieved his party has closed ranks behind him.

Zurcronium:"The republicans do want to return, as Trent Lot said, to a time when blacks were slaves and were kept in their proper place. Where women stayed at home to clean. Where only landowners voted. That is what they all want to go back to, like climbing back into the womb. "

Bang On,mon ami.Once again, you prove what I have had to explain ALL TOO OFTEN to people here. Namely, that often it is those of us OUTSIDE of America,in this case, us Canadians, who understand America BETTER than her own citizens do.They can't see the tree line for the undergrowth, and in the case of republicans there is no contest, hahaha hhaah hhaaahhha.

Well, anyways, Reid is doing a bang-up job and will undoubtedly be re-elected.

sushisake3:"In hindsight, it's obvious that the so-called 'patriot' McCain didn't give a toss about America, Americans, let alone good governance - he just chose the hot chick."

Bang on,mate.Simply put, another excellent post. You prove my point that Canadians like us understand America better than 99 percent of Americans do,ha ha ha haahha. The rightists think McCain is a patriot simply because he joined the military, like his father and his grandfather.Oh,and because like palin, one of his kids is now in uniform.Well, whatever..And what's TRULY funny is that they think President Obama isn't as patriotic. You see, they like to say,it's because his FORMER spiritual mentor is anti-American, he MIGHT even have said something a little less than over-the-top about America once upon a time, while giving a sermon in Chicago.

Well, anyways, palin is a dolt, her book can NEVER compete with Barack's and we all know it.Hence, she has had to beg Faux news for a job.Too funny!

Oh, and please, the sargies of the world can stop already with the "President Obama is NOT your boyfriend, okay,Gonbei?" He is the greatest, and I don't care what people say!

Well, my many friends, I know what Reid said but it has been taken out of contextualization, by the few remaining supporters here of bush, who was the worst president ever, from the get-go.

Hehehohohaha: "As it is, the GOP over-react (again) in order to gain political advantage."

Bangingly bang-on, bud.I think we ALL know that said over-reaction,in order to gain political advantage, is something only a party of losers would do.Democrats would NEVER,NEVER do such a thing.

What's next is what I wonder. I suppose they will take a fine-toothed nail file to Reid's past utterances and TRY to come here spinning quotes like this

“You can always tell when it is summertime because you can smell the visitors. The visitors stand out in the high humidity, heat, and they sweat.”(Harry Reid, December 2008)

as elitist, or some such over-reaction.Disgusting!

Well, anyways, Barack, who is too wonderful for words, has accepted the apology Reid was FORCED to make and this is just a hurricane in a tea kettle, as we say back in Kingston.

zurcronium:"who took responsibility for 9-11 in the bush administration? Answer, that would be no one. But they used 9-11 to lie their way into invading Iraq, but that was irresponsible."

Bang on, mon frere! Extreme kudos for putting 8 years of bush FAILURE into a nutshell.Said nutshell is like kryptonium to neo-con stupidity.Hahah ha ha! Well, anyways, it's just really, really TOO funny that the few remaining bush supporters here can7t see the forest for the treeline on this one, and hence they mistakenly conclude that just because their have been more incidents of terror threats against America since Barack Obama, who is the most wonderful president of any country, anywhere, ever took office, that this must mean he is weak or something.

But hey, logic was never there strong suite and your posts confirms one of my well-known syllogisms:

Canadians like you and I (not me, as some MISTAKENLY like to say) are not American.

People outside of a country can understand it best.

Canadians can therefore understand America BETTER than Americans.

Anyways, I hope this fabulous speech also makes it into one of the many, many collections of President Obama's words of wisdom.Sometimes they are the only thing that can get bush OUT of my head. Said speeches are as popular as ever, kind of like the man himself.

Well, actually, we have heaps of this kind of racism just across the border from America, in my native Canada, so I am sure it exists in Australia. Tis sad indeed, that people can't be more like MK Ghandhi and me.

Having said that I must confess, my many friends, to a weakness for KFC. I never thought when I left Kingston that one day I'd be at the Colonel's at least 3 times a week, but that's how I roll these days, dammit.Funny, is it? Well, if you were stuck in Hirakata you'd do the same damm thing!

    Mean Ringo:

And by "laid-back" they mean "pot-friendly". Ha ha. Bong!

Bong on, my fine friend! Haha hah ha! Certain parts of Canada ARE more pot-friendly than anywhere in America. And it's just a shame that even though Barack, who we ALL KNOW is a big fan of cannabis, has never traveled to Vancouver to address the world's exchange student-stoners, like he did the world's Muslims from Cairo, about his language learning and drug experiences, on 3 different continents.

Well, anyways, I have to say I am partial to my own country, because, well, the accent Japanese pick up in Australia, which SHOULD be renamed "South America", is atrocious, and dreadful. I recently reduced one of my private students to tears when I informed her that unless she could recite at least one of Barack Obama's speeches WITHOUT her broad Australian accent she would be expelled FOREVER from my apartment.

Posted in: More students hoping to improve their skills in English opt for Canada or Australia because they want to enjoy the laid-back lifestyle those countries advertise.

Why do they even fight back at Cheney's criticisms? Are they concerned that Cheney is actually right and they need to find a way to counter him for public opinion?

Bingo! And bang on, my fine tomodachi.Tis indeed sad that in America, and on JapanToday, their are many Americans who just do the all-American thing and BLINDLY follow cheney, who was the worstest vice president EVER,in all of American history. But hey, logic never was there strong suite, and they wouldn't recognize a sylogism if it bit them, ahhahahaha ha.

Well, anyways, cheney's unrelenting negativeness is NO match for Barack's awesomeness.Terror is on the wane, the US economy is picking up steam and the president's popularity is off the charts.

Hello, my many friends.Yes, deferment dick has done it again. (And I hate, I really HATE, the fact that he has the same first name as I do!) Well, I guess cheney forgets that he, and not Muslim clerics or anything like that, PERSONALLY helped create half the terrorists that exist all over the world, even though they are just a small number anyways and not that big of a deal and the Obama way of dealing with this problem, which is to treat terrorism as a simple LAW ENFORCEMENT issue, is working beautifully, and as with Barack's handling of the economy, is turning up fabulous results.

Oh, and before the sailwinds or superlibs of the world try and come here with "Gombei (not my real name, see above), the president is NOT your boyfriend", just let me say that well, I DONT CARE!It's just the way I am rolling, dammit!

The amazing depths of GOP flip floppery and hipocracy are toooo much, and disgusting!

Well, anyways, the rest of us, the other voices in my head, ALL say that bush and cheney said nothing for days about Richard Reid, the shoe bomber. So that settles it
