It makes one wonder if Russia did start pumping gas into the pipelines but couldn't build enough pressure in line to push it all the way to the Ukraine, prehaps because the pipelines have defects that cause reductions in the pressure, i.e. undocumented leaks.

I would want my gas to subsidized to, if I had a giant poorly made pipeline running all the way through my country, pumping millions of barrels of gas through ever year. Sould the Ukraine let Russia send gas through it's land for free (Royalities are common part of commerce)?
Considering that pipelines are unmonitored, Russia is essitenal accusing the Ukraine without having any real proof. It is possible that is Russia is lying about how much was pumped into the pipelines or that the pipelines are poorly built and have alot of sipage.

I appreicate you saying North American media and not just American media but I believe you are resorting to logical fallacy in the form of a straw man agruement by overstating the rule/influence/stance North American media has. My stance is not an apathetic one, in this case both Isreal and Gaza are the ones who created this mess(with outside help) and I don't see either ever willing to compromise over their respective position because historically no one ever had. Just as I doubt the two sides here on JT will never compromise over thier respective opinions.

Maybe temporarily but most likely not.
Doubtful, Jerusalem it seems will always be a beacon to attrach people into a sort of black hole a hate, war and death. Sad, given what it could have been.

Conversions on the internet about this topic are a sad reminder as to why the Isreal/Gaza war is never going to go away. People are so polarized over which side they support that things like common sense and rationality are thrown out the window, replaced with name calling, incivility and general bad manners. It's not that much of a stretch to see why this war has been going on forever.

It would be nice to see the EU, instead of caving into Russia demands to pay more money for it's Gas then it is actually, to find alternative forms of energy and punish Russia for thinking it is the Soviet Union that can just bully it's way into getting what it wants. This and the added bonus of becoming more environmentally friendly.
