I wonder just how many of these "Germans" and "Britons" are ethnically German or British or are Pakistanis (or similar) with German or British passports?

And where exactly does the article say that the boys were at fault? It does not say that they drove through a red light or over a stop line. Don't jump to conclusions

Such a waste of life and for what? Too many US, UK and other countries' men have died, again for what. Either pull back to the borders and contain them or just leave making sure that they have enough ammunition and let them get on with it then we'll see how long the conman Karzai lasts.

islandview. A great tongue in cheek post especially paragraph 2; trains weighing tens of tons should of course stop dead when the brakes are applied, not take 30 metres to come to a halt.

There is no chance that a Yamanote Line driver would be "twiddling with one too". It's impossible not to notice the stupidity of almost all kids and adults riding bicycles here, I simply cannot believe the total lack of common sense displayed whilst riding and walking. Whether it is game consoles or keitai, people are completely oblivious to what is going on around them and, this lack of common sense is displayed by adults and is copied by their children. I could start to go way off topic and talk about bicycle riding habits and the apparent total lack of road safety training given by parents and schools. but I won't. And finally. please change the incorrect use of the word break in the first paragraph; trains have brakes!

Lighten up guys, they are using what little they have to make a living, can't begrudge them that. Does look like a knobbly knees competition though doesn't it.

Quite frankly speaking, I wouldn't cross the street to see either of them.

The article contradicts itself. It mentions "the two passengers in the taxi" then it goes on to say that it "reportedly let five passengers in". Who knows?

There were only 2 passengers in the taxi - read the article again. Taxi drivers routinely work 20 hour shifts and many have no idea where they are going much of the time. So, whether this was a "dangerous driving spree" or a simple wrong turn by a very tired driver remains to be seen.

Without a doubt, Germany played the better game and deserved the win. Now, are they good enough to beat Argentina and go on to win the cup? I would say that there is only a 50-50 chance of that.

How can something made from PLASTIC be traditional, part of the culture? Dreadful noise, tuneless, irritating, juvenile. Should be inserted where the sun don't shine.

Should this be allowed to happen? No, of course not. Did it cause a problem? No, it didn't but, a problem could have occurred while this was going on, when the controller was not concentrating 100% because the boy was there. I am surprised at the reaction of the pilots though, very relaxed.

Beelzebub: He could perhaps buy the boy a CB set to play with, **HAM **radio needs a licence, exams have to be passed.

Well, he might enjoy his minimum of 23 days chatting with the prosecutors. Let's see, his passsport (if he has it with him) will get him in here for 90 days but if he has no passport then Immigration can have him for illegal entry. If he does have his passport and the case drags on for more than 90 days then Immigration can have him again for overstaying.

From KyokoSmile "Let's hope she gets an actual sentence and not some typical suspended sentence like most j-culprits. How typical of j-folks to murder children and walk away scott-free. let's also remember that family crimes are nothing serious in japan, mostly the murderers are viewed as poor victims "kawaisou" and so on.."

You have some facts or references to back this up?
