Hey who left the toilet seat up again! I would love to be "lost in space" with that trio flying through a wormhole at warp speed.

Oh Oooo, next stop Tehran folks. Do they really think that the West is going to let them get away with what they are trying. The Iranian people better rise up and oust their leaders before the US makes Tehran their next stop towards changing the middle east into satellite states of the US of A.

This kind of tragedy is always going to happen. You can't take wild animals, put them in confined spaces and treat them like they are trained and docile. I have no sympathy for people who put themselves in situations that are potentially dangerous or deadly and something goes horribly wrong. Put your head into a lion's mouth and one day it's going to be bitten off, plain and simple. The killer whale should have been either released into the wild after the first killing or euthanized. Sea World is a greedy company and has put it's employees in harms way. I don't patronize zoos or animal parks because they are just plain wrong and always say that their purpose is to study and help preserve wildlife which is a bunch of BS and all their in it is for the $$.

Although Japan is not violating the international accord, what is the purpose of the whaling. What can they gain from any research on the whales if they are really doing it and who the hell likes the taste of whale meat, it's awful according to my J-wife who had it for lunch in J-schools.

Photographers, videographers and film makers record graphic moments and sometimes they go too far. I think that the video of him leaving the slide and taking off into the air was all we needed to see. The part when he hit the pole and photographs of the CPR being given to him went beyond what I would call appropriate standards but bad news sells papers, not good news and the networks will always go to the limits for more readership/viewership.

Let's see here, Vanfu is basically a print broker and Canon Marketing is an arm of Canon, a manufacturer of copiers, digital printers and digital printing presses which are not real printing presses but high end digital print engines. What is going on here is Vanfu is getting large companies that are not print savvy to buy their services to get their printing done and sending the work to companies with Canon digital printers thereby taking work away from the traditional printing companies with "real" printing presses and destroying that part of the industry. The 10-30% annual savings is because they are offering solutions that are toner not ink based printing and the average print buyer can not tell the difference and only sees a huge cost savings. When you mail the toner based printing it scratches easily while ink based printing is much more durable. If you have a book printed with real ink verses a toner based product, it can survive hundreds of years while the toner based printed material will not last a decade so you get what you pay for. Most of those high end financial companies can easily buy a digital print system and have a graphic designer on staff to produce the work in-house and not waste their money farming it through Vanfu.

Wolfpack is right. High speed train systems in the USA will not happen because of the vast distances to be covered, environmental issues and where are you going to park all of the passenger's cars. In Japan or Europe you take a bus, taxi or light rail to the city center and then board a heavy rail train system. What US cities already have that type of infrastructure, bascially none. The amount of real estate that would need to be purchased and walled of to prevent idiots from interferring with the high speed train lines would be more money that all the countries in the worlkd have in their banks. Perhaps around the time of WWII this high speed rail system could have been created but not now or in the next few centuries.

Oy Vey, This kid is driving me meshuganah. I lived in New York City for 7 years and knew many Jewish people (friends) in my apartment building and at school and have never seen or heard of a tefillin. Perhaps they were holding out on me and not inviting me to the "box tying parties". If I was sitting next to some one that stated tying boxes to their arm (s) and head and reciting some type of hymn in a foreign tongue, I would be very nervous considering the hightened terrorist situations regarding air travel. Why didn't the kid wait till he got off the plane? Where can I buy a set, the 99 cent store in Flatbush?

Over 200,000 presumed dead, tens of thousands injured and 1.5 million without homes. This is going to be a monumental task to fix. I keep reading how bad the USA is doing and that they are hogging the airport and trying to run the disaster operation. Some one has to be in charge and the Haitian government is gone, the UN is useless as usual and no one else seemed to jump in to help until the USA got involved and pledges $100 million and thats all the thanks they get. If they did nothing, they get blamed, they do something they get blamed, maybe the USA should stop all overseas aid and spend it internally where it is really needed and let someone else take the load on their shoulders. Anyone else up to the task?

French Cooperation Minister Alain Joyandet, note that he is the "cooperation" minister. If the USA did little to help, they would be blamed, they do too much, they are blamed for hogging the media spotlight but the bottom line is the USA can get things done if allowed to do their job and all the minor players need to take their place in line and let the USA call the shots about who lands and takes off seeing that the country has one major airport with one runway and their sea port is destroyed.

Grafton, someone needs to control the airspace, air and sea ports, maintain security so that an organized disaster relief is possible. You don't just let every tom, dick and harry fly in and out and cause a traffic jam on the tarmac. Haven't you heard that there is no avgas left? Who then would be your choice to perform that monumental task, The UN, the Haitian government, who then is capable and has the closest resources to provide that measure of assistance? There is one (1) runway and the Haitian air traffic control is gone. How are you going to regulate safe landings, unloading, refueling when the avgas arrives and takeoffs without some measure of control? Take a look at the google satelite photographs of the airport and you decide if you would want planes buzzing in and out without someone who knows what they are doing in control. The US military is doing the best they can and if you are smarter then them, I'll elect your president of Haiti and you fix their problems.

Europe is slowly and quietly becoming Muslimified. A few hundred years from now Europe will be completly changed and the free world as we know it today will be gone with everyone carrying around prayer mats or renting them at a "rent a rug" shop in Picadilly Circle or along the Champs Elysee five times a day, hey what a business opportunity. The world needs to not be so complacent to the threat of Islamification.

I've been on many an escalator in Japan and the girls wear very short skirts bend over to fix their socks and flash you on purpose. I never took a camera photograph but my mind is full of mental photographs. Am I a criminal? Should I turn myself into the J-cops to download my mental images. The solution which probably never happen is to require that skirts go back to being below the knee length and all this BS will go away but my memories are mine to keep.

This is going to get a lot worse because their poor electrical, water and sewage systems are now totally out of commission. Disease, looting and fighting will be their next enemy. Sad sad thing to happen to such poor people.

Why keep wasting the lives of soldiers and journalists on a war that will never end. Didn't the USA learn it's lesson from Vietnam? Didn't they see that the Russians could not tame Afganistan because your not fighting an army with a working central government. Who are you going to negotiate with, some provincial leaders that have a stone age mentality and live in a arid sandbox environment where guns mean more than money and their camel or horse are more valuable than their women.

There are two good videos on Youtube. One taken from another Sea Shepard vessel shows the Shonan Maru turning into the Ady Gil and running her over. The other video is from aboard the Shonan Maru showing the Ady Gil coming from the port side to the starboard side of the Shonan Maru across her bow dropping what looked like fishing nets and ropes into the sea to try to foul the screws of the Shonan Maru. In both videos it is obvious that the Shonan Maru turned it's course to rammed the Ady Gil and hit her mark. Instead of the Sea Shepards running around in fancy boats costing millions of dollars, why not spend that money on Japanese language advertising in Japan explaining why it is unecessary to hunt whales and eat them too. This cat and mouse game is going to get real nasty pretty soon when someone besides whales get killed.

What a way to spend the beginning of the new year. "sought shelter in a specially made safe room when the suspect broke a window of the home". What's wrong with Muslim's, if they really want to be happy, they need to go home to their own sandbox countries, turn off the satellite dish, cancel their subscribtions to foreign media and get a life. When they venture out of their sandboxes they get all uptight and can not understand that the rest of the world does not run on Mecca time.
