And the chinese government still hasn't gotten it into their thick skulls that you CAN'T CONTROL THOUGHT, no matter how hard they want to try. Let the people see what they want to see and come up with their own ideas. It may teach the Chinese television studios to improve on the good and get rid of the bad that comes out of foreign tv programs. One new thought can inspire thousands more, instead of trying to keep people tied down to old thinking.

The non-profit organizations that Egypt is complaining about are some of the christian programs that go overseas and do humanitarian aid as well as proslytise and missionary work. Sadly its their beliefs to help those in need that causes them to help. There are some non-christian organizations there too, but same background. We can cut funding to these guys, and try and stop the non-profit groups from doing anything in Egypt and see how they like that... take up the slack themselves.

Seems it goes over peoples heads that the death penalty is exactly what these monsters want. Remember they believe it makes them martyrs for allah's cause! They look for death, and take quite a bit of pleasure from it.

An "I <3 u" text can only be accepted if you're living a good **plane trip **away from your lover on a business trip... but it also helps to send something that they can hold in their hands too, like flowers, jewelry, clothes, etc xD. The only other way to have that "face to face" is webcam real-time interaction xD. But yeah there has to be a really good reason to only be able to send a text not go see each other in person.

Jeez, a 5 month old baby... the grandparents I'm sure were p'oed, and I wonder how the father feels. Also there is no guarantee that the father was married to the mother. Either its worded as to seperate the actions of the mother and him or they never were married since they did not say, "her husband". Either way this is extremely disturbing.

I'm against piracy but I'm also against the ACTA and SOPA as well. The ACTA and SOPA should NEVER be enacted, and those found pirating copyrighted material should be charged for their crimes. But if these two things were enacted we'd be censored and spied on every single turn we take. Literally we'd be like China's internet, where special interests can legally spy and target you for the websites you go to, or block websites because it doesn't agree with what they want you to see or have access to. Piracy is stealing, but spying on normal citizens and making up ones own rules on how those citizens should surf the internet will lead to bigger brother dictatorships.

I'd advocate for some type of heated sidewalks. Geothermally heated if possible, I know one city in my state has heated sidewalks and doesn't have to shovel their snow so much even during a blizzard. Doesn't apply to heated asphalt though... but someday.

Oh look, true human nature rears its head again. People love to try and protect ideals (which isn't completely wrong) while easily sitting behind doing nothing to stop the process. I once heard a very good reason why a lot of this horrible stuff is happening.

In response to a question as to "Is there really any good reason to wage war?" a man responded, "Life is sacred. When someone decides to kill people in the name of w/e or for some reasons beyond that, then it is the DUTY of those that DO hold life sacred to PROTECT IT and stop those who do not hold life sacred even if it means war." Unfortunately many people that do torture are not always with this mindset to protect life.

The good thing is that the Chinese are learning to put more value into human lives and welfare than what used to be. Since this also happened in New York, I'm pretty sure the department of social services has shown up at their door. Instead of sending your child out into the cold with a high risk of him catching neumonia or some other form of permanent illness, the parents should just have the child exercise NORMALLY instead of watching tv. Pressing your children to achieve high marks in school means absolutely nothing. My ex was from HK and she cheated when she could to get those "amazing" marks. Many of her other friends were the same which helps explain why China hasn't had any innovative exports for quite a long time. Chinese society is changing (for the better imo) thank goodness, but its going to take a while.

Reality sucks, and people died because of instant change compared to gradual adaptation. They should keep up the reactors AND focus on finding alternatives (which should have been done a long long time ago). Germany isn't the only one at fault. Many countries could be doing the same thing, some have actually done this a long time ago and are doing just fine. I know mankind has the potential, its just too many just want to make money at the cost of anyone and anything.

Well gosh, cut them off is exactly what should have been done a long time ago. Why does this country continue to give "aid" money to other countries that are more willing to take the hand outs but poo in our faces at the same time when they can?

@Cleo and as I said the reason why we keep them in cages is to observe and study them, unnatural habitat or not. Try letting a gerbil or rabbit out of its cage and free to roam with no natural life skills and it won't survive. I'm not saying human beings have the right to do all this, but we've already started something that won't stop. The biggest and best reason to keep certain creatures in captivity is if they're under threat of endangerment and extinction. Even wild elephants are still poached for their tusks, same with gorrilas, dolphins aren't really threatened all that much except for when we overfish the oceans and poison the waters, same goes for the orcas... This is all our own doing, and until we wise up on how to properly balance ourselves with nature and natural habitats I'd prefer animals be kept behind cages or aquariums so we can understand them and expose other people to them that may not see these animals in their natural surroundings.

Its not really that a person gets predisposed to addiction, its the fact that each drug affects different metabolisms differently. I know most of my family should not do any type of mind altering drug including MJ because if done long enough the brains chemistry WILL change.

2 of my aunts were addicts, one was adopted into our family and she was able to walk away from addiction after some counseling. My 2nd aunt (blood related) was unable to walk away and really truly got messed up mentally as in her brain chemistry changed. She now has to stay on medication in order not to act crazy, but once she stops taking her meds or misses them she really does not think straight at all. So while people can advocate for the legalization of all drugs, they'd better get ready for the consequences of those that become addicts, or changes in personality due to the long term after effects.

The animals recieve free room and board from other potential predators, free healtcare (zoos don't want the animals dying on them), free food in exchange of letting us and some biologists examine their behaviours and methods. There are other animals that are quite free to roam in their natural habitats (although once again mankind sucks at not encroaching on those habitats). As long as the animal is healthy and doing fine in captivity and not suffering any abnormal animal abuse its fine. Plus some creatures have had to be kept in captivity due to species endangerment until they recover. We still have to figure out how to properly determine whether certain endangered species are dying due to natural selection or interference from humans. I know I sure would have loved to see a dodo, or giant manatee around.

I'm for the death penalty, but if you don't have it then life imprisonment is next best thing. I do agree with smith on the point that 21year sentance is ridiculous unless its 21 years for each person that was murdered. Sadly this man knew exactly what he was doing to show Norway the faults to their system of judgement, and the game is on but Norway will lose if there are no changes.

@Sushisake, I'm pretty sure the behind the scenes intelligence agencies have something coming out of their spy network. Rumours from the MSM and what may be considered top secret intelligence hidden from the public is something you nor I can ever know about until it happens. The fact that Iran got their hands on a spy drone flying near the border might be a nice little hint, as well as all the spy satellites. Some rumours may be based on truth and others distortion, there is no clear cut black and white answer as much as one would like to think so. We'd have to be there ourselves in order to verify who is speaking the truth and who is not.

Sushisake, you're missing the point. Having already made nukes is different than developing nuclear weapons. The reason Isreal would strike and the surrounding neighbors may not care is to STOP Iran from learning how. The uranium enrichment is what is worrying the international community. Please know the difference between prevention of, compared to proving the existance of.
