@anglootaku the US does not have more muslims than any other country... seems you forgot nearly the entire middle east as well as some south asian and african countries. Fact is there is a large enough grouping of extremists in Islam to carry out fully organized terrorist attacks against countries that aren't even in their region. Nobody would have cared about Islam if they didn't start blowing things up, persecuting others, and even killing people in the name of their religious beliefs. On top of it they immigrate to other countries and try to implement their own religious government in an already functioning society with its own government and laws. As for the US it reminds me of the small group of evangelists that were arrested in dearborn Michigan for passing out leaflets near the gate of an Arab culture festival (Odd it wasn't named the Islamic festival, seems like they forgot that) ayear or two ago and evidence of the situation which had been recorded on video was confiscated. The group had to go to a federal court to get confirmation of their rights to freedom of speech and freedom of expression that the local police department (which seems to have a large majority of muslim police officers and chief) so blatantly stepped on. Just FYI, I'm not fear-mongering, I'm just stating what I see and hear as well as my own personal experiences and knowledge of Islamic doctrines and "beliefs". Not every muslim is out to get people, but not every muslim is willing to help others if their "faith" dictates forced subjugation of others.

@Jujubeans, give this person a cookie! They just figured out the Islamist plan to overthrow the majority of western society! But people are resisting and the majority still rules unless more people convert to Islam overnight or muslim communities grow to the extreme like the loonies in the UK demanding 3 enclaves of seperate Islamic caliphates since they believe the muslim population is large enough to take over.

Its old as the hills and twice as dusty, "when in Rome...". As Disillusioned has pointed out, the issues with Islam is not so much the people that practise it, but the fact that they don't understand they can't live out their "religous" ideologies when it breaks the laws of the country they live in. They can't beat their wives, they can't murder and expect it to be accepted as "honour killings", they can't live by their own "laws" that run in direct confrontation to the laws of the country and society they've put themselves under. The truth about religion isn't about governing others, it is for a person to govern THEMSELVES. When a person tries to implement their religous "laws" on others, they're not governing themselves, they're putting themselves well beyond their right to religious beliefs. Islam just keeps on proving itself for the poisonous vile anti-social subjugative religious political ideology it is.

I say leave the AC on, just don't leave it on full force... as was mentioned before, a few thousand cases of HEATSTROKE isn't something you want on a packed train during the summer time.

Sorry Pakistan, should the US drones leave (which I don't mind) I hope all other assistance aside from humanitarian volunteer groups proceed to leave as well. Pakistan is also the wonderful group that warns an area ahead of time there are going to be airstrikes. The US needs to build their relationship with India rather than Pakistan, and Afghanistan can't clean up their own mess even if the US leaves which means there will still be border hopping from terrorist groups between Pak and Afghanistan.

Yeah an 8 year old has hardly lived long enough to be able to figure out what was happening was very bad. The 13 year old I mentioned was lucky and had enough self confidence and mental maturity to see that her daddy was quite twisted in the head and in the spirit of self-preservation took off when she had the chance. Islam is quite the bag of tricks, and the overly-pacified PC groupies can barely comprehend what the goal behind this "religion" really is.

Superlib I don't know if you've heard of the report of the 13 year old Afgan girl who ran away from home because her father told her,"Be happy, for today you will become a martyr and see heaven..." with the intent to make her into a suicide bomber. But obviously men that think like this have absolute cult mentality.

@Cricky: As long as nicotine is addictive thats not going to happen. MJ doesn't have bright and colorful packaging (if any since its not quite legal in some areas) nor is it as addictive as a cig and yet still more people smoke away at it.

Ah wedding gowns. The one piece of clothing that can either bring out a womans beautiful innocence or create another bridezilla xD. Still wedding gowns/and kimonos are quite lovely.

Wow, always fun to read. I mean sure we've had our share of crazy criminals but Japan has the much more fun ones. All that happened recently in the city where I live (in the US) was a homeless guy (nowhere near drunk or senile) taking off all his clothes at one of the city water fountains and calmly proceeding to bathe himself, soap and everything. This guy definitely topped our guy who just wanted to be clean! Blind drunk and smashing down doors to cop stations! Thats gotta be the life!

@TumbleDry, did you miss the part where it said "One of a dozen states that embraced ISLAMIC Shariah Law..."??? so it does have to do with their religion. As for wether or not there are way more terrorist attacks, remmember we only hear what is actually reported. We do not know how many crimes with the same terrorist groups are actually occuring every month. Apparantly since they hit a police station, they're probably more active (along with w/e other terrorist organizations may also be there) than what is reported here.

Makiminato good idea.
Aside from all that, I think it would be ok to have the images on the packaging but its completely out of hand to require the tobbacco companies to remove their Logos or brand names.
I despise smoking as well (including the wacky tobbaccy) since I should not be getting the residue of someone elses habits in my natural method (and quite neccessary) of breathing what oxygen I can get on non polluted days.

Simply put, toss the "gun rights" out the window. If a criminal wants to get a gun they'll most likely get a gun from any smuggler/criminal organization they want. No waiting period and no background check and the first place they'll be getting one anyways.

No more fish in the sea, seaweed forests, whales and other unique creatures. I'd strongly suggest getting DNA samples that can be preserved and cloned for later until (and if) we get our acts together to not screw up our environment.

I'm pretty sure whale sharks are filter feeders and stick to plankton and krill or creatures like that. Beautiful fish but when it grows over 30+ feet then what do they do? I'm a bad swimmer but someday I'd love to hitch a ride on one of these large fishies.
