Yeah when Tesla starts making lower cost vehicles then things should start kicking off for them even better. I'm not on the fence with electric vehicles but I'd prefer a more hybrid approach of lets say hydrogen and eletric or (renewable clean fuel source here) and electric. The option to have at least 2 alternatives in case one or the other runs out. I would like to see more collaberations between all automakers to develop a super car or at least a basic design that gives us better alternatives to gasoline.

Also pay attention to what elbudamexico says. Scams will be running rampant even during disasters. Only donate to charity organizations that have some strong background and foundations such as the red cross.

Fitting punishment would be to send these kinds of thieves to do community service in the disaster areas. It might actually sink in their brains that some people are more in need than these kinds of folks assume they themselves are.

While its not good to panic, its also not good to stop from seriously observing the situation or trying to pacify with soft words when one doesn't know what the final outcome will be. If lets say after a few years of drinking irradiated water and consuming irradiated food more health problems arise in the population of the affected area or an increase of health problems in their children then it will be too late. Remember its not like the radiation will go away in a few days or weeks. The most hazerdous radiation particle is the iodine, but thankfully they say it should dissipate in about 8 days at most. That only leaves the other two somewhat less harmful particles that take between 28-30 years to dissipate. So use some wisdom and try to avoid food and water that have abnormal issues. Only time will tell, but I can guarantee you the people who are in the "zone" and their descendants will most likely have a spike in genetically induced health problems. You are what you eat.

There are many alternative energy sources out there. While it may take a while to transition from nuclear to those sources plus many energy sources we still haven't discovered. In my state alone we have whats called "ZeroNet" houses which combine solar, wind, geothermal and if I'm right hydro-electric depending on location to make the house itself self sufficeint energy-wise and excess energy is actually sold to power companies. No electric bills whatsoever and actually produces more energy than a household of 5 can actually use. I do agree though that these reactors held up pretty well considering the impact of what happened. its not like everything failed, just the situation is beyond human control.

I was little surprised but also a bit not surprised that even China offered assistance. Just heard 45 countries have offered asstistance which is wonderful to hear. A moment when humanity shines its brightest is during the darkest hours when many are willing to put aside nationalities and grudges in order to help other human beings in need.

This is a horrible disaster, like looking into hell. I hope some help and relief crews are being sent not just in Japan but from other countries as well. Hope the US is guaranteed to send aid and rescue workers as well as other NATO & UN Nations.

This world isn't full of hatred, just full of people that are full of hatred like the shooter.
Obama is just paying lip-service, this happened on German soil to US servicemen and German citizens so the Germans will have lead in the investigation.

Wow, "Thousands of Libyans will die" line sounds exactly like a hostage situation. Gadhafi will get whats coming to him and it may be quite soon.

Raise your hand if you're shocked to hear this. Islam is the most corrupt religion on the face of this planet, if anyone wants to know why this is happening, just have to look at the founder, and the core origin of the belief system. Glad to hear he left a video in support of not only Christians, but anyone who was not muslim which goes to show that no religion or athiest is safe from Islamic ideology. How many people still insist on turning a blind eye to Islamic fundamentalism? Remember, Islam is persecuting others, it is not being persecuted itself. When was the last time any non-islamic government threw a person in prison or executed them just for being muslim? Now reverse that question, when was the last time an Islamic government threw a person in prison or executed them for not being muslim?

When you're well off enough you really don't have to care much what people think about how you look (except your boss and close friends). After a long flight from the US or where-ever else in the world how many people get off the plane looking like a million bucks... but then again assuming he flew first class instead of coach...

In relation to my previous post, refer to the John Galliano issue. He said what he wanted and what happened was the reaction and consequences of that. He didn't get arrested, but it did cost him in other ways.

I put down yes, because you can SAY ANYTHING you want, but the question is can you handle the consequences and reactions to what you say. If you call someone a racial or derogatory name can you handle their reaction if they have the right to sue you for harrassment or offense if the law dictates they can?

"Blame the US and the Isreali zionest agenda! They have a great conspiracy to destroy us!" Pretty hard to keep that up when one eventually has to look in the mirror and face their own problems.

Another small step to household androids. The day they can figure out how to fix the balance issue (I'd suggest x2 gyroscopes in the head area) for running and walking the hand movements and other stuff can come afterwards.
