Yeah I thought this was a political dance routine. Needs more syncronized politicians though. One from Russia, one from China, and maybe one from Korea!

The Alfred E. Beiber cover does make me laugh and the "Obama vs. the other 42 presidents" does catch my eye. As for Justin Beiber himself he's just another tween to teen heart-throb, nothing to be jealous about or worth hating on for any reason. Back in my teeny bopper years only the young jealous males were hating on the New Kids on the Block and other boy bands/singers back in the day. It happened in Elvis' time same with James Dean and so on. Nothing to see here folks, move along xD

Growing up in the US I'd say that school uniforms does take out some of the competitive cliches in school life, without uniforms it was a stark contrast of whether you were rich(or at least middle class) or poor (I couldn't afford those $300 Jordans back in my day and my single mum could only afford payless shoe store pro-wings). All children required to wear uniforms and in school shoes simplifies a lot of things. No, "You don't have such and such brand" or as was mentioned before gang colors etc which I forgot to mention was prevailant in middle through high schools in the US.

@Pixelated, so I can hardly agree with you that keeping the school uniforms is only because of perverse peoples fetishes. There are a lot of other factors at play here that must be taken into consideration.

Capybara vs cat, I wonder if the cat's instinct to hunt rodents would have the opposite effect xD.

American law could have him tried as an adult but it won't happen unless he commited any of these crimes on US soil. Send him to Mexico and have him tried there. This might encourage them to adjust their laws to fit the crime since kids aren't "kids" like they used to be. Plus there needs to be enough evidence to prove this case as well.

When I was visiting Japan I never ever tasted any of the chocolates. Whats the consensus for those chocolate munchers who are currently in Japan? Yes to local cocoa, or only buy imports? xD

Cute and fun picture. Reminds me of my little wooden sled, I think my mother still has it in an attic or basement somewhere. When I have children they'll get to use it too! Its quite sturdy (was bought in and made in Germany when I was but a tyke xD). Good old fashioned fun in the snow!

Very good posts by Northlondon. Not much to comment here from me since a lot of other posters have already said what needs to be said for those who haven't figured it out.

Has it ever occurred to you Laguna that illegal weapons are moved only by criminal organizations? Its not like the US military, or FBI or local police (unless they're dirty cops on a criminal groups paylist) smuggle the guns. I didn't even know that yaks had some stake in illegal activities in the US as well, but they do. They're illegal only because criminals have connections that they try to keep below (and very successfully in many cases) the FBI and local law enforcements nose. When they get busted they get busted hard.

I agree on Smith's perspective, it should not be published before the trial. As for any profit from the book it should go to the victim's family.

RLMFAO and agreed Dent, this is a hilarious loony toons moment. I can just imagine some poor person sitting in their house and pot bags land and explode on their roofs, or the cattle start munching on it!

As a non-obese nons-smoking american living in Colorado I haven't seen more obese people than "healthy" weight, but thats probably because obese people don't go outside as much. I have my days, weeks and months I don't go outside and in spite of my deliciously high cholesterol diet I still EXERCISE. I rarely drink and never smoked. A lot of the smokers I do see are rather thin too.

TBH I do cut back a bit on over-processed foods like microwave this, or insta-meal that and I guess I am somewhat health conscious as I always trim any fat that I can from meat, poultry, pork that I cook. If something is swimming in grease after its been cooked (even fries) I most likely won't touch it. Now I do go for things like burgers, fries, pizza, chips, sausage and all those other wonderful things, but I still exercise at least once a week if not more. I never touch soda if I can help it, dispise the stuff.

Well some people need to look more into the meaning of dhimmitude and ummah. Since the majority of muslims even in the US are either shia or sunni there isn't going to be much of that passive thinking that many people would expect of a normal religious system. If 90%+ were sufi or amadiyyah we probably wouldn't be having such concerns.

These guys just want maximum death because they worship it. They've hit weddings, parties, funerals, markets, even lines of people looking for work. Its even worse because they think they're getting glory for what their doing. Sickening.

I don't see any problems with this mosque being built at all. Still don't like Islam, but this is nowhere near as touchy as the Islamic center in NYC.

@FruitsBasketFan, heres a rather ominous statement made by an African man in a non-islamic African state (If I remember right the majority was either christian or some other indegionous religion). When an Imam built a mosque in that state nobody was going because they didn't have any beliefs in Islam. So the man asked the Imam, "why did you build a mosque here that nobody will use?" and this Imam stated to him, "You may not go to this mosque, and your children may not go to this mosque, but your grandchildren surely will." Think about it a bit. Look at the goals of the OIC, and the Cairo Declaration of human rights, tag that along with an overwhelming 40% of muslims in the UK believe that shariah law is the way to go including those supposed "moderates". My uncle could be considered a "moderate" muslim until he tells you what he's really thinking.

I really wish that Islam was a nice normal belief system, then none of us wouldn't be having any discussion about it at all. But sadly in every nation that has a decent sized Islamic community there is some type of unrest or aggressive tactics on their end.

Lol true it looks like that Beatles album cover xD. And to think we still have some folks that think that all religions should be abolished. It can help a society develop along a unique and interesting culture from religious beliefs. I'm glad my missus is buddist :D, she holds herself to some interesting virtues and morals.

Big difference between Chechen rebels(who just happen to be a muslim majority that want their own seperate state/country) and extremist islamic insurgents (that want to claim power under religious beliefs and want to start a "religous" war with Russia). Islam is a cancer no matter what nay-sayers want to believe. All they need to do is look at the life of the "holy" (strong sarcasm) mohammed to see what kind of sick deluded person starts a militant/political/"religious" ideology. The only muslims that are truely peaceful are the Amadiyya, and they're considered "kill and/or persecute on sight" as far as the sunni and shia are concerned cos they chose to follow a man that revised and reformed Islam to follow a more peaceful path.
