Don't worry, another dictator will most likely take his place sometime in the next 5-10 years if we're lucky. Just hope he's not a fanatical islamist.

Terrorism is terrorism. It reminds me of a veteran that made a speech in front of some students. "I love freedom, and I hate war. But if I had the choice between losing my freedom or fighting a war to protect my freedoms I'd go to war." Sure its easy to say "they're not terrorists" if you really want to be an ignorant pacifist since they're fighting for what they believe their freedoms to be, but what is the point if you assaulting and killing people that don't have anything to do with stopping your freedom in the first place?

@lovejapan21, if you can't tell the difference between terrorism (intentional destruction of innocent people that have no attachment to your cause) and war (intentional destruction aimed at enemy combatants) the you really must be lacking sense. Shooting someone that is pointing a gun at you with an intent to kill is completely different than a person killing someone who out just trying to buy groceries. Get a clue.

Innocent until proven guilty, he can plead "not guilty" as much as he wants but its not going to help since there is plenty of evidence. Mentally disturbed won't stop him from being punished as he is competent enough to know what he did.

I feel their pain wince, I'm not a big sports fan (except during olympics) but 5-0 is enough to make anyone feel bad. Agreed the Saudi coach is gonna flip on his team.

I hate hearing news like this. The only upside is that a decent amount of people survived the crash. RIP for the victims and whatever comfort can be given to their mourning families.

Whats really interesting is in spite of the fact the US should not have invaded Iraq, what was mr. al-Sadr doing to build a rebellion against Hussein when he was still in power? hears the wind blowing on a barren field

Somalia didn't use to be an Islamic country, but now they are... Hmm I wonder how that happened. Oh right, there is no Islamic agenda to unite the world into one giant caliphate...

Runwithsissors gotta keep in mind, while Christianity may be the largest religion in the world it doesn't excuse the violence and persecution by Islam of the Hindi in India and bhuddists in Thailand, or anyone of different beliefs in Africa and other countries in the world. So while you keep trying to drive the train off the tracks from its obvious direction its heading, Islamic theocracy is trying to force its way into power over everyone regardless of religion, not just the christians.

It probably was fireworks, sound waves and air pressure do interesting things. Remember how when you go to a fireworks show and some of the explosions you can feel the rumble of the explosions in your gut? Imagine that happening to a creature with a faster paced heart rate, small body, and lightweight bones being hit by a precussive large sound wave from the explosions. Its rare to hear of this, so maybe the animals may have been in an area close enough to it to be damaged.

Islam once again persecuting others. No surprise there. Doesn't matter what religion you are (even if you're an Islamic sect that isn't acknowledged by the main sects), hindu, buddist, jewish, wiccan, or voodoo, they want you to be either subversive to their ways or one of them.

I'm hardly that gullible and blindly patriotic like you suggest. Unlike you, I acknowledge that the US has things that are wrong with it too, and as a citizen I can vote and try to influence better decisions in the country, while the majority may not see it the way I do. But with the bad comes good, which you are also failing to acknowledge yourself. This is about Pakistan, but since you're so US centric on basing all the problems and faults of the world on one country whilst ignoring the fact that its the result of many countries actions (yours included most likely) is very bad hypocrisy. Enjoy sitting on the fence throwing your eggs, until reality comes along and repays your arrogance for not assisting in anything to fix the problem but eager to throw blame without taking any responsibility yourself.
BTW since the US is trying to keep some sort of standing reputation in the UN (in spite of its uselessness), do you think it is diplomatic to say, "No we won't go and because we don't feel like it"? In the world of global politics, the motto of,"I'll rub your back if you'll rub mine" is pretty much the rule unless corruption is involved i.e Afganistan. If one country helps another they either agree that when time comes for the other to be in need of assistance their bedfellows will be much more willing to help. You think Pakistan would sit still and let US bomb areas of their country (to the extent where the Pakistani government is trading information with the US military on where and when to attack)and not complain that the US is trying to move their "imperialist regime" on Pakistan? Seems they both have a common enemy that harbors and developes even more hostile entities that are a thorn in both countries sides.
Every country usually wants something in return, which is why there many other nations in need are going through hell and no country is really stepping in to help them.
