If nobody claims responsiblity, and even if they do, what is the accomplishing point of this? Instability of the security forces in Ahganistan seems most logical, but when people get over the fear of being terrorized then they'll get a lust for revenge on those that have terrorized them. One day the people will have to rise up and say, "ENOUGH!"

S.Korea doesn't have to respect squat about the leadership of N.Korea.... This is quite silly.

@irishosaru, my point is that there have been aggressive athiests that like to argue with those who are religious the exact same thing, "prove that there is a higher power..." and trying to enforce over others (even by means of law if possible) to "believe" in "non belief". I know religions and athiesm are practiced in different ways all over the world. Sadly my experience in my own country has been christians, some muslims and hari-krishnas, and even athiests peddling away on their beliefs by starting random debates or situations that interfere with others daily lives. Thankfully people still have their rights to believe in what they want to , but not to coerce others into playing the game the way one group wants others to believe beyond a persons own individual choice.

To simplify my previous statement, many things are not dead sure non-existant in this universe. Until proven beyond any doubt, many things are a possibility.

I can understand those that decided for reconstructive, but the ones that do it because of insecurity which as far as I know the majority of implants rather than the minority...sigh.

Wow, certainly going to be some fireworks in this show now. If France is smart it will say, "Yes we did commit horrible crimes of our own during our colonial period, but we know what we did was wrong so it won't happen again." then Turkey will HAVE to understand that you can't paint over or ignore the problems of the past and expect progress.

Heres the kicker. Prove that there isn't a god or higher power. One can claim there is none and that evolution "disproves it" but thats still not concrete enough to guarantee such an idea. Our knowledge is quite limited to what we know on our own planet and the materials and Until mankind has the answer to EVERYTHING in the universe (which we obviously don't) neither can disprove the other. I'm happily agnostic myself because I've experienced things that are beyond normal over the course of my lifetime. If there was a higher power that "created" mankind whose to say

1.) it isn't an extremely advanced alien entity doing some science experiment and it might actually use a series of events (evolution) to create various and unique species on a universal scale. Quantam physics theory...

2.)or since we always try to relate to something in our own image or method of thinking (greek/norse mythology for example) so its hard for many to concieve of a being/entity so beyond our capablities that we have no chance of comprehending them no matter how advanced our scientific knowledge takes us.

@Midoritori I agree with you there, I have no problem with a person being religiously inclined (my missus is buddist and mother is catholic xD, uncle is muslim), we do have problems when someone comes up to use and starts literally harrassing you about, "believe in this! believe in that!" And the overzealous evangelists that are, "you're goin' to hell you heathen!" One shouldn't demand someone to become a part of their religious beliefs, its ok to ask and just accept that the person isn't interested and to be on their way. Those that don't need a wake up call.

Good to see at least the parent made the RIGHT decision instead of dumping the child somewhere to die. Glad to see some of these abandoned children are being put in a place where they can at least be taken care of.

Either way Iraq will be neither better or worse off than it was with Saddam in power or not. Seems lots of people are forgetting that now the situation is IN THE IRAQIS HANDS. If the Iraqi people want things to improve, guess what. they have to do it themselves now. Freedom and peace isn't given, its earned. And while the building blocks are there, they have to learn how to adjust their own situation. If they can't then its their fault for not solidifying their society to work together to advance forward instead of sliding back into a cesspool of hell of their own negligence.

This is quite frightening. I don't think many N Koreans are that gullible, but this kind of thinking as far as trying to set up a monarchy by this way is pretty much the kind of method that got Japan into trouble trying to expand a glorious empire for the mystical divine blood of the emperor. When N Korea's military tries to mobilze its hungry people into some kind of thinking like that (not that they seem too successful either way) it will be very bad for S Korea, Japan, and others in the neigborhood.

Yeah, I can tell the "millions" if any of these mourners are just completely broken up that their "leader" died. Seriously, I've heard people when they mourn for a loved one. These folks are hired if not threatened to go through the motions.

I'm kinda sad to hear this, but I guess JSDAF is desperate for new hardware. Don't plunk down cash on a product that is still working out bugs and kinks. Wait for the improvements to get it to at least 99% instead of 85%...

@Just-a-guy lol whut? The funny thing about the TRUTH is that it can never be denied. Its partly China's fault that they influenced NK to seperate from SK to implement the bad kind of communism that the USSR promoted. So uh, hate to break it to you, but when a country does something that helps direct another country to failure and suffering there is no point in glossing it over to ignore the "bad" parts. Remember those that forget history are doomed to repeat it? As an american I know what stupid stuff my country does and I acknowledge it instead of trying to white wash and put on rose colored glasses. As I said, Truth, Facts, and Reality can't be painted over, although the Chinese goverment thinks they can control their peoples minds forever, which is quite practically impossible.

@Hide they're pretty much right, no $$ from exporting oil= much less $$ for advancing nuclear technology or at least slowing it down. Less money equals less cash for materials, scientist paychecks, paying off information agents etc.

And this, my dear fellow posters is exactly the way every other monarchy in the world came into power. Someone got everyone else to think they were special. It would be nice if this one said, "Screw this old school commie cr@p" and start striking up a new path especially one that leads to unification with the south (and not through military means). Thanks China and the old USSR for screwing up another country for us people in the future.

Yes stupid airline folks, judging people to be terrorist specifically by how they dress. To be honest, a terrorist would not try to stand out if they could, the airline folks involved deserve to have their butts sued off them cos of this. You can't judge a person by how they look in the slightest. You can judge a person by their actions, and these guys were just minding there business. Doesn't say what country they were from though, just that their muslim in traditional Islamic dress from w/e country they come from. I've got no love for Islam and the hardline and weak "moderate" fanatics that choose to follow it, but this is quite stupid for tossing people off a plane "cos they dress funny" mentality. Well it is NC and Tennessee though.

I wouldn't say people are celebrating so much as many people around the world are sighing in relief that another bad person is gone from the world. As is always the problem though, "When one evil is destroyed it only leaves a space for a new evil to take its place...". Would be nice if that space was filled with something good instead though. I'm sure China might try to encourage some new thinking in NK but China really hasn't been all that great with their own track record even though they're a lot more modernized than the old "one dear leader" communism of its own past.
