Waiting fo the behaviour of the passengers is kind of too late once they're on the plane don't you think? Pretty much if someone is up for doing something to the extent of bringing explosives, weapons etc as they have done in the past and even now, its best to make sure they do not bring them on the plane in the first place, and if they are identified as a hostile person in the passenger database and still allowed on the plane they need to be watched.
As scary at it is, there are plenty of very agressive people and orginizations that don't have any considerate thoughts for the people they plan to kill. Pregnant passengers, children, etc are nothing but additional victims to them. Keep that in mind.

IcingDeath once you react in a physical manner that inflicts bodily harm to another person's body you are beyond the right to freedom of expression. You'll have violated the law and will be charged with assault. You can curse, swear, argue with them all you want, but you can not harrass, assault, or damage property that does not belong to you.
Your rights end at the end of your nose.

You wish, I'm not so blind as to play the "we're no different" than them card. As much as you don't like it, the reason for killing someone or a group of misfits over-rides this so called "we can't tell them what to do because it would make us no different". if you can't tell the difference between trying to support and build up a nation by trying to give them a stable government platform to work up from, compared to a group of rabid religious fanatics that behead, beat, murder people because of their supposed religious law, as well as ignoring
The taliban if you've forgotten, or just out right ignored have done and been doing some very bad things, and it didn't help their case that they had other extremist groups having free reign in their territory. I don't see you complaining about the US assistance in Serbia to stop genocide there.
Unlike some folks, the US is not going to lay back and just let the world go on about its business because if you don't remember the US always took a position of staying out of international affairs, until it affects us. This was always the case until WWII. Look it up.
You need to not look only in the mirror, you need to look at the world for what it is. If you don't want think about, or do anything about it until it comes and starts beating you in the face thats your problem. The US doesn't sit around and wait anymore, and prepares for the consequences.

Considering they had witnesses I hope these guys are caught at least in the next few days or less. Evil begets evil.

And why were these conditions made in the first place Yuri? You seem to have missed that. These airport screenings weren't made out of thin air for nothing.

Its really sad this poor man did not get KIA. Its a lot better than what most orginizations like the Taliban/extreme fundamentalist islamic groups do. Instead of killing soldiers on the battlefield they will most likely slaughter him later on. My condolences to the family because instead of recieving news from the military that their son died fighting, they will most likely get a really disgusting video which instead of "frightening" the enemy will usually be more likely to enrage them.
Sadly because we don't want the Taliban to think that keeping hostages will allow them to get leverage of any kind or they will continue to use the same method expecting the US to bend over backwards for any demands they want.
btw numbskull, its not about "choosing to be angry" I remember someone showed me a video of some islamic fanatics beheading some unknown arab village man. I was automatically incensed with rage. Not because they were jihadists or islamiphobia, but because it showed the pure and complete disrespect of human life that they didn't even pause to murder someone like they were slaughtering an animal. I'm not even christian and I prayed for that mans soul to be in a better place than the sick hellhole he was in. There is a line that is drawn that if a person or group of people show that kind of disrespect towards a human being, they need to be eliminated from society.

If I owned a shop or store I wouldn't be happy with this. Stealing should still be treated as a crime, although many people can accept the reasons behind theft if it was the theft of food by a starving person. In many cased a considerate person/shop owner would be kind enough to supply that person with some sustenance without pressing charges.

As much as some folks don't like it, this is what cold hard justice is about. In some countries there are enough laws and enforcement to determine a fitting punishment for the crime (i.e loss of rights, financial compensation to the victim). In Pakistan they don't have enough of this so they go to the basic routes of, "do to others as you would have them do to you."
I'm pretty sure if this sentance is carried out those men are going to be experiencing exactly what they dished out, and they're also going to realize with a crystal clear perspective exactly what they've done for the rest of their lives.

Well, they went after a soldiers family... and last time I checked you don't want to start a family feud by spilling all their relatives blood. I'm pretty sure they're big on revenge, and these drug cartels are going to be wiped out the cruel, harsh, and unforgiving way. If the mexican navy starts using aircraft, tanks, and other heavy military equipment I'm pretty sure the cartels are going to go down much harder and much much faster.

Well I don't know exactly how the rules work in NY, but in CO there is a rule that says if you are in a medical uniform and present in an emergency situation you are required by law to assist as much as possible. Considering these 2 were EMTs more than qualifies them to do their duty in saving peoples lives it is bad that they did not do what they are supposedly trained and skilled to do.

This man has lost certain rights once he did something to end up behind prison bars. Once that happens he has to step where they tell him to, walk how they tell him too because these are the consequences for his criminal actions. If they want him to speak in english unless they have interpreter present then he'd better do what they tell him to. Agreed with most posters here, the lawyer is just doing what most defense lawyers do, make the most trivial matters seem like its a violation of Hasan's rights (which he literally tossed out the window).

Keep in mind Madverts, a military training base does take precautions against particular weapons being brought on base (like unregistered explosives), where as personal handguns may have looser restrictions. I find it odd you don't see it from the perspective that what Hasan has done works more against peaceful Islamic believers than for their cause peaceful representation. Its the same as a recent crime spree with black gang-members commiting racially motivated crimes (robbery and assault of non black around the states (most people are now instinctually paranoid thanks to this) and are much more wary of a gathering of groups. This has not been the only time an islamic extremist/group of extremists have done something to upset the local society they live in, so as much as you'd like to hang out in the uber PC group, its not going to work against islamophobia as long as there is in your face proof that there are just too many islamic extremist nutters out there.

Well, I'm an anime manga fan myself, but not to the point where I wanna dress up, talk about nothing but anime or devote a large portion of my life to.
I agree with tkoind2 up to the extent that its good to have fun with your interests as long as it doesn't interfere with the necessities of life, like work, family, finances, etc. But I sure wouldn't be caught dead in a den with sweaty men lol. I like clubbing too sometimes but that first statement in this article made sure its another place I really don't want to go, and that places first before any kind of otaku/sci-fi/comic convention.

Hey Goddog, keep in mind the standards of BC and the standards of modern pottery... they're not going to have the same knowledge or tools that you do.
Anyways, this is rather interesting. The more we find out about really ancient societies and cultures the more interesting things we can learn about them and what things we may have forgotten that may actually help us out in the future.

Christmas is Christmas, enjoy it and celebrate it unless its against your beliefs. If its a against your beliefs then why on earth would you try to celebrate it then tell others that they shouldn't believe in what they want to believe during Christmas.
Athiesm is a religion of non-religion. Its still a belief system. Personally I don't care if they don't believe in anything, but just like evangalists, krishnas, and others that are intent on trying to force me to believe in what they believe just isn't cool. Leave Christmas alone... Let Santa Claus, the easter bunny, tooth fairy, boogyman, and other things have their fun.

Actually they've done forceful removal before, just not with commandos. But there have been some "settlers" that insist on squatting on a place and calling it their own and not obeying laws that are made on the peace agreements.

Let the conspiracy theorists roll. Honestly the US is in no FINANCIAL position to start a dual war zone again. Grow up, and use your brains get a better perspective to realize this is between Iraq and Iran (which has been at this for how long?), not the beggar boy US.

Hmm, the only FF title I have ever played and will probably still play is the Online MMORPG. By golly if that isn't the most in depth time consuming game I've ever played and still go back for more its that one. FFXI outclasses WoW fanatics.

Yeah, most definitely avoid Tokyo and other extremely big cities in Japan if you want to have a different exprerience from a major metropolitan area. Go up north and visit some places in Hokkaido, or more south and visit more traditional areas like Kyoto and the minor areas around it for a more Japanese traditional culture experience. I'd say go to major metro areas if you're into buying lots of modern stuff, and more traditional areas for small natural souvineer things like pottery, tea cups (I still have mine), Kimonos, Yukatas etc.
