Forgot to type, people have the right to feel offended and state that they feel so, but not the right to tell a person what they can or can not say to express their opinions or views.

As much as people don't like it, everyone has their own opinion about things. This question is of course badly phrased. The freedom of expression is not about the "right" to offend others. Because what one person may find offensive may not be offensive to others. The "offense" is determined by what a person finds offensive to them.
The only limit to the offense and freedom of expression is when it gets physical or destructive to physical property. Mental and emotional offense can not be counted because everyone has their own opinions about what is/and is not offensive.

Voodoo and other old witch-doctor rituals make people do really stupid things. Personally I like religions as long as they have some sort of wisdom or good moral views, apparantly his religion doesn't.

lol you seem to have totally missed the point elbudmexicano. Read the above posts for more thoughtful perspective and absolute outcome of the situation. Remember the drug cartels were the ones that shot up a drug rehab center in mexico as well.
I'd say the problem with the desire for drugs is because people want to escape their reality, feel a "buzz" or get a fix. It doesn't matter if its alcohol, nicotine, MJ, etc.
Its all about feeling "good", and most people (world wide) want to feel good as much as possible. The pro pot smokers know thats true. Its no different that people that like to get drunk because in their minds it feels good to them. Smokers get a certain kick in their minds from getting their fix as well. All of it affects the body negatively in one way or another. Hard drugs are the same but are a much more drastic addiction because people get so used to their FIX.
People that have these issues need to think really hard as to why they do this.

They're not counting the kids that are mixed ethnicity (caucasian/black/asian/hispanic/native american etc) either. Not that I really care, but maybe just maybe it will reduce the number of crazy white supremacists freaks around here.

It really all depends on their interests, but as an experienced tourist to Japan and still wanting to go again (my favorite country in asia), its great to experience a different culture, definitly the food, the baths, the scenery, and the society are the most basic reasons. The other side depends on how much of an entertainment buff they are too, video games, anime, manga etc.

The simplest and easiest circumstance for war is if someone decides to take over your country, you have to defend it.

I'm not worried about that, what I'm worried about is what kind of mentality it takes for these guys to be treacherous to the nation they've decided to call home. Islam keeps getting smeared in the mud of its own making. Good to see Pakistan isn't putting up with extremists anymore though.

The only way to prevent someone from doing something wrong is to have psychics that are 100% accurate policing our society. Until that day comes Spud, good luck with prevention. The detterance is that people that think about doing such actions know what the consequences are for doing said action. The issues lies with those that know the consequences and still do it.

Punishment is deterrance. Think of it this way, for every choice and action in life there is a consequence, thats a fact. Punishment is the consequence of such violent crimes.

I've said it before, how do you expect to gain something to support your country when you're mostly corrupt government is screwing everything up? When you really need help, all you'll end up is with a wet paper shield. If you have to buy a loyal army from citizens that have no confidence in you in the first place, well... I think you get the picture.

@spudman, please get off your high horse. If someone did this to your 6 year old daughter, I know you'd be singing an extremely different tune. This man punched a child, and that alone is enough of an example that he's not man enough to take on another adult.

What are these Filipino muslim homelands of which you speak jager? Before islam and even chritianity there was basic aboriginal worship and non specific religious beliefs based on nature. Honestly if Islam was the main religious belief the Phillipines surely wouldn't be what they are today. They'd be more like Indonesia...
Another thing is why do they want their own governance? This has been a very nasty pattern repeated in more than the Phillipines by a nice sized muslim community. Oh lets just sweep all the terrorist acts on all the other Filipinos, or hapless tourists that just happened to be there.

Lol they always want to blame outside influence and "wester powers", when it still hasn't occured to them that Iranians that went to other countries to live may be the ones sending the "outside influence". This won't change anything, I'm pretty sure the protesters are just as many as they've been before.
