Heres a brilliant idea, disguise an military vessel like a cargo ship and fill it with international heavily armed navymen and have them patrol the ship routes. Allow the pirates to board and proceed to take them out or arrest them if able.

Hilarious isn't it? The "nation" of islam ideology makes nuts out of everyone no matter where they're from. Not a cult my arse. Feeble minded weaklings that would join any gang of thugs just because they don't have anything else better to do with their lives.

Death penalties only to satisfy the bloodlust of the people? Wrong reason for an execution. Life in prison without parole would have been more logical IMO.

Good to see that China is waking up a bit more to their need for serious quality control on their products. Quality not quantity, keep that in mind China.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, while wiping out the militant extremists is good on one end, they still have enough clout to build their own indoctrinations schools in Pakistan and therefore always have new brainwashed masses to send out to cause more problems. One of the humanitarian actions the UN and other countries could do is re-open the bloody schools and start teaching these young boys (especially)and girls that life is more precious and worth living happily instead of being brainwashed into wanting to off yourself in the name of some so called god and expect to be a martyr afterwards. The US and other countries need to put more resources into opening the Pak public schools and guarding them.

Roos are natural inhabitants, as well as dingos and other things Bush. The usual suspects aren't the animals... its the other people that encroach on their habitat and throw the ecosystem out of whack. Aside from that, the owner should have his pet on a lead/leash or w/e you wanna call it. Pretty smart case of evolution for a kangaroo to actually learn to do murder 1 by drowning...

He can enter his insanity plea but I don't think he'll get away with it. Remember he BOUGHT and brought his own weapons to the base. Now thats premeditated. If he was given guns from the armory and started shooting there it would have made an insanity plea a bit more believable. the cards are stacked against this man because of his actions and comments(before the shooting) not because of his beliefs which sadly tie in because of the final result.

Seems your forgetting the old sayings Nandakandamanda. Give an inch they take a mile. And blasphemy goes a lot further than religous symbols. Its opening up a can of worms that you really don't want to go into. Only after ALL the bad things emptied out did they find only one good thing at the bottom of pandora's box. This may not be so fortunate if approved.

from what i recall the current spacecraft still use old equipment and computers from the 60-70s. Now either one of two things is happening, that old stuff is still effective and has no need to be updated, or we do need to seriously upgrade it.

You're missing the point illsayit. What constitutes as "blasphemy" depends on what the religion itself considers it to be... which pretty much means that if they say their offended and its blasphemous to their own personal ideology to tie your shoe in a double knot, then according to this so called resolution you'll be in trouble because you tied your shoe in a double knot because you wanted to and you don't see it as a blasphemous action.

Christianity, Bhuddism, Hinduism has constantly been assaulted by perception of blasphemy all over the world, but you know what? They can say they feel offended, but they never force others to not say or do anything negative or criticiziing to their religous ideology. This is what the Islamic nations pushing this resolution are trying to do, because it will effectively make you a bad person for criticizing another persons beliefs if they consider it to be blaspemous. Think about it.

Wow still on the planet pluto are we? You know the "2012" film omitted the destruction of an Islamic "holy" site just because the producers didn't want a fatwah on their head? This article is actually old old news, from around 2004~2006.

Most Islamic countries have no qualms about insulting others or blaspheming other religious beliefs that aren't theirs, so they need to understand you can't have your cake and eat it too. These rules can only be applied in their own lands, just becase they think their way is the ONLY way doesn't mean the rest of the world has to agree with them.

The man is held accountable, but only if the woman chooses to keep the child. With as many contraceptives we have around, unplanned pregnancies should be practically nonexistant. Its smarter to use combinations of contraceptives, condoms+spermicide, Condoms+the pill etc. Only in cases of rape, threat to the mothers life, I won't say incest because if its not caused by rape, then they sure as hell should have known better.

Remember if you think an abortion is every womans right to choose no matter what the circumstances are is right, your mothers also had the choice to not allow you a chance at life in this world as well. Hence you would not even have the opportunity to comment on this subject. Think about it.

Well, the other reason they might not have notified the military authorities about Hasan's previous actions was because they had to be PC. Remember, we can't say anything negative about a person because of their religious beliefs... in spite of the fact this has continuosly shown otherwise. As I said, some folks know how to take advantage of the rights given to those that live in free countries.

@ Bilbo, A risk you'd be willing to take unless its you, or someone you know you mean? Your statement lacks wisdom. As I said, there needs to be a few years before an execution just in case any evidence arises that proves a person may be innocent. I don't think this man is innocent, but all death row inmates need time for their cases to be cemented to be sure they are completely guilty of the charges.

fortunately that doesn't happen Bilbo, Remember some cases show that a person is innocent after a few years if not more time. I'm not against execution a convicted felon accused of such heinous crimes, but there needs to be no shadow of doubt that person is not innocent at all of the crimes they are convicted of. Some people have actually been put in prison when they have been innocent.

The investigators do have every right to question the suspect. The only thing the lawyer/s can expect is to be present during the questioning. I'm so glad that he survived as well and can speak. Lets just hope he speaks considering people have the right to remain silent.

Did an interesting search on Google. Take the words Extremist, Radical and try and attach them to every religion in the world and do a search. Amazingly there is only one that seems to come up a lot more than others.
