Personally I don't care what or who believes in what. This goes for all religions "You can believe in rocks for all a care, just as long as you don't throw those rocks at me."
While many religions have had their sordid pasts, some developed into a stable platform that encourage the goodwill and intent to take care of others and the world around them. Unfortunately only one advocates for goodwill of only those who are of the same faith, and demands the destruction of others who don't not believe in that same faith.
Religious beliefs are only for each individuals self governance, not the governance of others. Athiesm is also for the governance of one's self, not for the governance of others. My own personal experiences through life have shown me a lot of things and helped me open my mind to many theories and comprehension of this universe.
While believing in a religion may help and encourage a person in their quest for meaning and existance, there are always those that take it too far, and cause harm to cultures societies, and countries because of their extremist views. But the same also applies to atheism who and claim there is no higher power and assume that all religious aspects are bad and should be abolished.

And this my friends is exactly how the world of espionage works. As for whether this man was a spy or not for Iran we'll never know... just the CIA and FBI will tell how much of this is truth.

I'm not envious of the rich, I'm just p'oed at the "rich" that don't pay their taxes (using every cheap loophole they can get), the "rich" that are so greedy that they'll over charge and screw anyone they possibly can just to make more $$$, and the stockholders that are stuck into thinking that their stocks should always be going up by leaps and bounds every week which helps encourage the corporations to try to make more money to keep their stockholders happy. My standpoint has always been to never ever run someone over on purpose just to get what you want. It will guaranteed come back to you. Stay the course and treat everyone right and people won't have any complaints.

It the fault should lie with the parents IMO. Honestly, children should not be playing IN the STREETS. I could understand if the child just wandered out there at the last moment, but at the same time a watchful parent wouldn't have let their child that close to the road in the first place. I agree, I feel very sorry for the driver in this case.

Interesting. So he commited this "crime" on US soil and then was persecuted when he was foolish (I'll at least admit that) to go back to Thailand. Freedom of speech and expression is only protected as far as the nation one lives in supports it. But Thailand is looking bad for persecuting a person commiting an offensive act in their society when they're not on their soil. If a crime is commited on their soil then they have the right to prosecute, but if the crime is commited on another country's soil, then why pay so much attention to it? Ridiculous.

Magic8balls Oct 8th comment is pretty much how I feel about it. Sure it may not be the epitomy of diplomatic "tact" but the truth can never be denied no matter what people want to say.

I've always advocated that if a foriegn national is guilty of a crime by the local nations law, and there is enough hard core evidence to prove it beyond a shadow of doubt then the foriegn national should be punished by the nation that they commited the crime in. If these 2 are dound guilty by the US military (young men aren't known for keeping their brains outside of their pants, especially being cooped up in a milfitary base with lots of other men...testosterone lvls run high and aggression does too) then turn them over to the SK justice system to serve out their sentance. Only problem is that when one turns over one of their own soldiers to a country that even though it has a treatise with, the soldier may be subject to interrogation for information sensitive to the US military. So its pretty hard to just say, "One of our soldiers commited a crime so we'll just give them up and let you guys deal with it."
Personally I agree that if these two are guilty they should be punished by the SK court system, but safest would probably be to have the SK system pass the sentance but keep them on the base in lock-up for the sentance to be carried out. Or if they do get put into a SK prison the US will have to send people to check on them to make sure any "sensitive" information is not being extracted from them.

Declining birth rates? Is that still an issue? This is a two edged sword. On one hand you have women like this that practically murder their children in the first place because they don't want to take the responsibility or many other various reasons (only reason a woman would carry a child to term and then murder them is because the relationship went sour and the "man" wouldn't marry them or take care of them). On the other hand you have how many abortions taking place by people who are too young (teens) and or selfish adults that feel a child would mess up their lives (which could have been avoided if they were careful). Abortions are costly, but for the exception of rape, could be avoided if contraceptive precautions were taken in the FIRST PLACE.
She's at fault for getting pregnant in the first place if she' was not victim to rape.

Bass4Funk pretty much said what I said earlier on a different site. This man pretty much revoked his US citizenship when he started advocating for the death of his "fellow" US citizens and waging a guerilla war with the support foriegn entities (the terrorist organizations) against the US. If you become a French citizen, and then go to another country with hopes to advocate attacks and directly declare war using the other countries facilities against France what do you expect? People need to figure out the difference between a citizen that follows the laws of the country they are a citizen of, and those that pretty much renege on their citizenship by waging war on the country of their citizenship.

Good to know they stopped a couple more. Just hope they can catch more before any of them are successful. Funny, seems like Mohammed would have approved of his actions and so would his allah. The only way for Islam to not promote the murder of people who don't follow Islam is for it to be totally built from scratch and the qur'an tossed out the window. Islam was never "arabacised" because its founder was born in Mecca... seems to be a lot that some folks keep on trying to deny in order to "protect" the evil actions that the qur'an quite clearly advocates. The denial is so ridiculous its like people trying to convince everyone the sky is red while we're looking right at it and can see its blue..
@Serrano you obviously have not read the qur'an from cover to cover nor have you really looked into Mohammeds life, history or the hadiths written about him. There are "holy" men in the worlds history that have influenced others in a very positive light, but I can positively guarantee that Mohammed was not one of them.

@YuriOtani, one of me and my friends favorite past times was seeing how quickly newly elected president's hair would turn white. Its quite entertaining :D Mr.Clinton had blond hair, Bush sr. used to have some nice brown locks, and Bush jr used to have some too. Obama didn't have any gray, until he got in office, you can tell he uses hair dye xD.
Anyways back on topic, the recent decades of haphazard politics are coming home to roost. Prez Obama can complain all he wants but this is and always has been a culmination of choices made over the last 3 decades. I do understand that electing Obama didn't make it possible for him to wave a magic wand and all the problems would disappear (which sadly some people seem to think was what would happen). Although I do agree most republicans would probably try and use the same stratagy that was used in the past and expect different results, when in fact it will make sure the US will take decades more to recover. Just have to take into account the crash of '29, with the exception that the crash of 2000 requires that the use make itself more valuable on the global market as of compared to only having to improve the national market of 1929

This is nothing new, its been going on since forever. Phillipines is just one of the many non-"christian" origin countries that have to deal with Islamic extremism. I love how some people still try to make out that Islam only targets christianity and judaism while the hindu, buddists, and local religions are suffering under Islamic conquests in non western countries.

The thing that angers me most about this kind of situation regardless as to whether this former-president was a good person or not, is the fact that the taliban and al-quaida (or w/e terrorist organization likes to inhabit the parts) have been targetting any elected local official that comes their way. Some of the people that become mayors, governers and what have you actually are trying to do whats best for the people in their localities and are sick of the corruption, power struggles etc. Reminds me when I saw a documentary and an Afgani man had to flee his town because he ran for mayor and won, but they kept assassinating anyone that got into a political position and didn't go along with the way the taliban or w/e wanted things to be ran. If the world had no corruption, I wonder just how many wars we could avoid, and other situations we have to make each other miserable.

@Tumbledry you pretty much summed up my thoughts on this. Give Palestine statehood and see how they handle it. If they're wise they'll stop the terrorist attacks and Isreal will recieve backlash for any land grabbing. But if the rockets continue, Isreal will have the right to declare war on Palestinian land AGAIN, and occupy conquered land AGAIN because of stupidity. The ball will be in their court, lets see how its used.

Very sad all the way around. The man had mental issues supposedly, but its China, and China isn't well known for helping its citizens unless they have deep pockets, or can make the governments pockets deep. This is what will continue to happen until China's government creates effective and efficient programs to help their citizens with disabilities or mental problems.

Good comments Madverts and Serrano, both sides need the work. Palestine has the harder end of it since Hamas is still not legitimate or even stable enough to run the state properly.

Wow, someone is living in fantasy land where every mission goes without a hitch, and every bullet hits the right target, every spy gets the information correct on the first try. If the world was that perfect there would be no wars in the first place.
love you pretty much just contradicted yourself, they will not stop killing civilians because they don't have any laws or rules they choose to follow to avoid such casualties that you wrongly attribute all to the US killing civilians. I'm sure you'd be a great general to get all you men K.I.A with armchair stratagies. These people don't WANT to get civilians killed, but are still expected to take out hostiles... so until the magic bullet and psychic smart bombs that will only hit viable targets are made reality is going to march on.
