The Japanese should continue to wisely use their credit cards as charge cards. In the US many people are drowning in debt from easy access to credit, without thinking about the monthly payments. The article implies that US customers pay what they want each month, that is untrue. Card issuers set a minimum monthly payment designed to keep one in debt forever.

I have heard dogs and their owners look alike. I would like to see what this dog's owner looks like.

The decision should be left to the shareholders, If a company is turning a profit, rewards should be given. However recent events in the USA have shown that the majority of CEO's lack discipline and feel entitled even when their companies are failing miserably. Reward for success, not failure.

Not being from Japan, I do not know, do divorced fathers have to make alimony payments until a child is 18 years of age? Here in the USA, lawyers sometimes get sweet deals for divorced mothers. It depends how affluent the father is.,

kind of surprised at the popularity of Star Trek in 2009. Forty years after it flopped on network TV, it has become the Paramount franchise that refuses to die, even after half the cast and its creator have gone out into the universe. The question is, what will they call the sequel? Star Trek--The Sequel?

Remakes are becoming quite common, Hollywood has run out of new ideas.

I for one, look forward to seeing the movie. I enjoyed the John Rain books. I only hope they don't butcher them in the flick as they sometimes do. Look at what they did when translating Clive Cussler books to film.

This event was felony stupidity, any 12 year old could have photoshopped the whole thing for free. Change you can smell.

Specter switched parties because he is selfish, he wants to be in power forever. He has cancer and probably won't even survive another term. There needs to be term limits so these dinosaurs can find honest work.If Tom Ridge decides to run Specter will have a tough time beating him. Sarge, never count out the Republicans.

The story of Hachiko is inspiring to be sure, however what will happen will be akita's becoming very popular in America. Then a few months later animal shelters will be flooded with akitas because some Americans do not realize the commitment to dog ownership.A dog looks cute in a movie and the kids suddenly want one, but lose interest later. Maybe ATSUSHI can host a photo show in the USA then.
