Electrocute them with their own power and charge them the bill! Openness is an essential element of democracy, how else are people to decide who their leaders should be? Safety is paramount not profit when it comes to nuclear power, totally disregarded for years by incompetent management and government alike!

I'm not in Tokyo, rather closer to the plant in Ibaraki, I have a family and many friends here none of which have the options that I do. I'm here and here is where I'll stay until the government evacuates us. I take my chances with the rest of Japanese people. Some will say your risking your kids lives, perhaps so. I would consider them at risk should I move them back to London in the UK from poor education, social problems and drug abuse.

I never drink the tap water as it tastes foul! People will always respond to a potential shortage by panic buying of just about anything! Food, water or gasoline will promote the highest response. Moderator why does JT only ever refer to Tokyo? Some of us live in other areas!

My three and a half year old boy is trying to say the least! Because I'm his father and love him I am able to resist my urges to hit him, I have no limit to my patience with him. I can imagine were I not his father I may well lose control! Well before that ever happened I would get out though.

I'm in Ibaraki and yes we have had a difficult week, we have one little shop in our village and they have worked like devils to get the things we need! Just a few miles away people are in a far worse situation than us! We may have been cold and in the dark with no gas for the car but at least our house is still standing (just) Many poor souls have been left with nothing at all, we have no complaints!

No fleeing here I'm doing what I can to help in the village, while I'm not Japanese, people that need help don't care where I'm from they need help and I'm here to do what I can! I'm seeing this through with my Japanese friends that welcomed me to their country and their village! I have found it hard to get food for my kids, the people here have given us theirs shared their water shared their.. I just can't go on, we are a community in trouble and holding each other up regardless of where we are from.
