clearly, the left and the supposedly anti-war crowd are embarrassed and upset. the claim that America was simply making a grab for iraq's oil, which was the hysterical 'rationale' most of them had in opposing the liberation of iraq, was misguided and even lunatic.
and it reflects very badly on them.
daily.
every day that iraq grows and prospers.
U.S. fatalities in iraq hit the lowest ever this very month.
in the last 12 months more marines in iraq have died in motorcycle accidents than have died in combat.

try obama's proposal for a new cabinet position of 'chief technology officer'.
then ask yourself who knows more about you - google or the government.
then check the short list for the position.
don't be surprised if the position goes to google exec vinton g. cerf.

economy reeling.
this video interview with an obama supporter features a woman who thinks obama is going to pay her mortgage. and put gas in her car. and btw, she is "poor."

"troopergate" was a non-scandal. the trooper fired admitted he deserved it and the bureacrat quit rather than take the position palin offered him.
contrast that with the orwellian world you live in under an obama administration:

i think they'd be astonished to see the unimaginable success their glorious experiment became.
and i think they'd chuckle in scoffing disbelief if you told them that in the last one hundred years it has three times saved the monarchies and democracies of old europe from themselves and from russia.
and i think they'd be horrorified at the knowledge that obama's campaign has accepted millions in illegal foreign contributions.

on this thread, like so many, i have to say, wow.
if only we in America could somehow harness the power of the intense emotional energy that non-Americans are so predictably susceptible to expending in election years.

valid question. i always took it to mean when the overwhelming majority want us to leave we should leave.
that is not the case in japan.
i doubt it is even the case in germany.

maybe it's just me but modern day israel seems a tad bit better armed and organized than european jewry in the 1930's.
yeah, cos it worked so well with hitler and stalin and mussolini and tojo and saddam hussein.
who gets to do the talking this time? words need force behind them. europe and the united nations can't provide it.
obama seems unwilling to.
76 percent of American jews in israel are voting mccain.

a hot tip for clever anti war types like this one above who sussed out bush, who knew all along about his plan to use an illegal war in iraq to line the pockets of his relatives and crony pals:
joe biden is one of those democrats who voted in 1974 to pull the plug on financing and support for south vietnam. (yes, that's how long he has been in the US senate.) must be why obama picked him.
now's that long-awaited chance to get back at the neo-con military industrial complex.
start buying and shorting stocks accordingly.
put your money where your mouth is.

obama also said he'd accept public financing. he lied.
he said the surge, which he opposed, succeeded beyond everyone's wildest expectations. he flopped.
maybe if people bothered to really listen...

in this case 'the other side' means terrorists, paramilitary groups like hizzibollah and the plo, and regimes like iran.
rashid khalidi was with the plo back when the US state department had declared it a terrorist organization. i think informed Americans will acknowledge that the state department is rarely characterized as a right wing institution. in fact, it is widely understood to be a very liberal one.
khalidi helped arrange iranian president amadhinejhad's visit to columbia university.
iran has officially denied the holocaust.
we know the public obama.
why won't the l.a. times let Americans listen to and see 'the other side'?
what is it about the private obama, hanging out with his friends bill the domestic terrorist and rashid the tenured foreign jihadist, that they want to keep from us?

that happened in l.a., with effigy of sarah palin.
this was on a university campus. no backyards.

"khalidi". "rashid." palestine. anti-israel comments. plo. arafat.
this is the stuff on the tape and the l.a. times seeks to keep it from the American public.
this is precisely why big net sites like the drudge report (today in fact) say 23 percent of voters in the state of texas still believe that barack obama is a muslim.

the US senate is not a treehouse or a grammar school or a rugby club or a pale copy of the british parliament.
remember senator john kerry? the favorite four years ago. held a two point lead in polls the day before the election. which he lost. he shows his face in the senate. even votes to block American companies from being allowed to bid on the oil now flowing in free iraq.

the anti-American members of the fourth estate who are protecting obama and yet another terrorist are the same media snobs who were frothing at the mouth only a month ago at the presence of a vice presidential candidate who obviously didn't read any of the major papers or care to.
i still can't decide which was more amusing, their rage or their bewilderment.
