Too bad that girl is gone. More attention by police about reckless bicycles would reduce deaths.

It would appear that the weapon was probably taken by another military person who could have access to the area of the desk and not an off base person.

Lots of young women work at McDonald's . Nothing said about that point. Guys might confront that robber but I doubt a woman would.

So the whole world is geering up for a plane to plane ship to ship showdown? Gee, seems we forgot to mention ICBMs. If you include them in the battle, there may not be any places for these wonderful planes to land.

This seems to be like anther case or two that have come up in the news here. People cutting others up after killing them. Seems as if the perpetrators watch horror movies and relive them.

No reason to stab an innocent passerby. Just walk into a koban and slug a cop or two. It will get you into the slammer for a day or two only though. Long time in the clink would be a more serious assault.

The Higashikurume Kominkan class will go to Iseki Koen next Saturday. We will arrive at 11:30 a.m. eating different kinds of delicious ostumami and drinking beer, wine, shochu and sake I suppose. I'll make a lot of burritos. Hope it doesn't rain. Teru teru bozu time.

Would someone ask a pachinko player his opinion on all of this? I hear there are some players who make their income from playing. I would never become one of them but I'll admit that I tried playing once and lost a few hundred yen or so. I found it interesting but gave up after losing after about twenty minutes. I did it just to find out what it was all about. It was too smokey and noisy to stay long. It is said that when they change the machines or upgrade them, people flock to the parlor because it is easier to win then. I'm sure the government gets its fair share of taxes from pachinko places so they won't close them down. Besides, Japan is a free enterprising economy. Good or bad, they'll be here for a long time. With new technology making machines more enticing all the time, those lines out front early in the morning won't change.

Three hots and a cot for him. As in a previous article, he may not stay incarceration very long due to he fact that he killed a close kin who was up in age which is often a lenient sentence after repentance in Japan. I feel sadness for his departed mother who raised him and didn't deserve her fate.

I often hear a sentence like 20 years to life with possibility of parole with good behavior or life without possibility of parole, etc. in the US. It seems not clear if he might stay in the slammer longer than 19 or will be released after serving his 19 on good behavior. Whatever, he'll still be not too old upon release.
