Can it get any sillier. If Chirac sees this his love affair with Japan will come to an end.

    > musing a book here tentatively titled "My children are half-foreigners - what you lookin' at?!"

Now that would be a book I could relate to! Can I contribute a chapter, "I suggested he take a photo and he responded by staring at the ground intensely."?

    > “You could say it is a bit of Dunkirk spirit,” said Stanley Johnson, father of London mayor Boris Johnson, who was among some 800 soldiers and civilians picked up in Spain by a Royal Navy warship, HMS Albion.

Yes - a tinsy tiny little bit.

The only way this girl can get a good gig is to don a uniform.

Pukey2 - Youre spot on about Nakano Yukari. Sure, shes easy on the eye, but its her appearances on Junk Sports which are always a delight. Shes charismatic and willing to entertain.

Gotta add too that Ando Miki looks the goods in this photo.

I think its because Japan doesnt have the genuine criticism which we have in the west throughout the media, and readers are just trying to fill the void.

Take a movie such as "Happy Flight" for example. Could someone just honestly call it a waste of time and money? Of course not. The producers have paid for advertising and in return get a sweet review.

I like reviewers who call a spade a spade. (Therefore someone like Don Morton is my kind of guy.) Unfortunately few of his J-counterparts have the freedom to do so.

Does anyone still give a tupenny fart about this franchise? During the last battle in POTC3 I asked my wife to explain the goings on to me. She had no idea. There were big ships and big waves fighting to be in the foreground. It was the most confusing scene in a movie since those buses and cars driving around and around in The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour.

Oh, sad news!! I fondly remember back in the`80s meeting Marc Almond and Jimmy Sommerville every FRiday for a Taco Bell feast. My fav was the yummy bean burrito.

Thanks MR Bell JR, you made some of us happy with your fast food. Wish you were still selling in Blighty.

Yes - Marc was a huge fan of the stuff. Once he was even rushed to hospital after consuming far too much. He just couldn`t help himself.

Interesting read. Ive picked up a few useful words/kanji from playing Winning Eleven and Panzer Front. And since were talking about killing two birds with one stone, I think the little stories that accompany porn can be useful too.

A soccer team that thinks it's world class and a pop group that thinks it's soulful.

Hey, Plasticmonkey - Exile dont have soul? Come on! Those guys have spent hours at the tanning salon to get a kind of dark look. Theyve got those street-smart tracks in their hair. Sometimes they look "hard" at the camera too. And then someone like you comes along and disses them. Tchok!

If the shop closes at 9:00pm, what exactly does she do until 11?

Actually, the more I think about it, I think the Japanese have got it right with the pronunciation of QANTAS.

Ian Thorpe is reasonably well known here. Why didn`t he get the gig? QANTAS calls Australia home, yet it employs Chinese to carry out maintenance and Japanese to push product.
