The one in the gold top would not look out of place in Jimmy`s Bar in "Good Morning Vietnam". The one standing next to her definately floats my boat though.

Come on everyone! Let`s all stand in a long line and then pay too much for a beer!
I have my own Oktoberfest at home with friends, good music and readily available beer which didn`t cost an arm and a leg.

Klein2 - Drunks and drifters? I`ve seen a couple of hopeless drunks get fired and then move up the eikaiwa ladder. One lush in particular went from Nova (where he was fired) to Berlitz (where he was fired before finishing up at Waseda (where I guess he was probably fired). Either there were no background checks or he just bulls**tted well at interviews!
Posted in: What is your impression of the English-teaching industry in Japan? Have things improved since Nova's collapse or are there still bad apples in the barrel?

I was in Akihabara in the middle of the day recently when I began to feel a bit peckish. When I received a flyer from a maid on the street, I became tempted to give a maid cafe a try. It was then that I read the flyer and changed my mind. The om-rice was 1200 yen and a soft drink was 550 yen. The buffet at the Omotesando Brazillian restaurant is cheaper.

Respect to the people of Berlin for putting the marathon along such a picturesque route. It was a breath of fresh air after the Olympics last year.

****So my crew and I get our gear, including a heavy tripod, camera and a boom mic with one of those big fuzzy things on the end that looks like a giant cattail. Fantastic. This should be interesting. We arrive at the shrine. The weather is good; there are loads of tour groups with people speaking what sounds like Chinese and Korean—impassioned interviewees!
Wow - This guy seems to think that, simply by waltzing around with some funky filming equipment, he
s going to be warmly accomodated - even at a place such as Yasukuni. Hes also assuming a lot in expecting the Chinese and Koreans to open up to him too. If he shows people the same attitude that he displays in this article, they`d be likely to tell him to p*** off and mind his own business.Posted in: Don't try filming at Yasukuni Shrine

Exactly - Mrs Oshio (Ms Yada?) is widely known for being a right pain in the clacker. It`s a shame about the split - these two deserved each other.

I`m tired of walking around this city with cyclists playing chicken or slamming on their squeaky brakes.
I was once almost hit by another teacher whilst on school grounds, in front of a few students. When I confronted her she replied that she hadn
t been aware of my presence. Sadly its an attitude than seems to be the norm rather than the exception. It
s long been a dream of mine to clothesline a cyclist here in Tokyo. If you ever hear news of a gaijin going to prison for such an offense, itll probably be me.Posted in: Tokyo residents pedaling to work in increasing numbers

Shame about the stadium. Best bring a pair of binoculars.
North London - The game`s 4 months away. That gives you plenty of time to brush up on some old convict or sheep shagging jokes.
