ANYthing to distract the American Public from the Benghazi Debacle, the Economy and the president's own lack of a plan for the next four years (not to mention his record over the past four), and to stop Gov. Romney's momentum. A "Hail Mary" towards the end of the game that is bound to fail.

Not a new guy. Been around in JT for awhile, just under a different name, thanks to my accounts being fused.

As far as all those "news" sources you named, I agree with the poster that said all of those are left wing and liberally leaning. HuffPo can no more be trusted with true news than The Weekly World News. Ariana Huffington is no more a reporter than the man in the moon (actually, she's a leftist shill who wouldn't know what true reporting was if it slapper heri n the face). Per the reporting concerning the debates, it is truly glaring to see how the media has stated that Obama/Biden "won" overall, yet lost on points and substance.

And you can "blame Bush" all you wish: seems to be a talking point tres necessaire for the left. Can't come up with solutions to your problems? Blame Bush. Can't tell the public with a straight face that your policies over the last four years have failed? Blame Bush. Can't honestly explain with a straight face why our ambassador in Libya was allowed to be hung out to dry and murdered? Blame Bush. Except that isn't how its done. In fact, the economic mess began when the Democrats took control of both houses in 2007. Up until then, the economy was roaring thanks in large part to the Bush tax cuts (that's something you can "blame Bush" for).

And yes, Fox News. Amazing, isn't it, that Fox News bests MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, C-Span, and Headline News by a large margin? In fact, isn't it further interesting that Fox News has been declared fair and balanced time and time again throughout the years? Say what you wish about Fox News, but they're doubling the ratings of their nearest cable competitors by a 2:1 margin combined...

In reality, I hope he is prosecuted criminally and for one reason: to see if his denials really are "No!" I remember how long and hard Mark McGwire said he never doped, never took PEDS, and all the way up to his testimony (along with Sammy Sosa and Rafael Palmeiro) before congress was loud and beligierent and forceful in his "No!". But then, when faced with a charge of lying under oath to members of Congress, McGwire's "No!" disappeared, and he repeatedly stated he couldn't (wouldn't?) answer the congress members' questions and that he "wasn't here to look into the past". Later, he started saying "No!" again, but I lost faith in him.

Let's do the same with Lance Armstrong: let's put him up on the stand where he has to swear to tell the truth, and faces serious jail time if he lies under oath. If his "No!" stands the test then, its time to return his victories (after all, there is still no substantial proof nor corroborative evidence nor verifiable witness to his alleged doping [of the 26 "witnesses", most of them have made deals with the USADA and can reenter cycling after a brief suspension]) and his glory and honor.

Lance has repeatedly said "No!" that he did not dope. He has tested negative time and time and time again. The USADA should -- if they really think he is guilty -- put him under oath with a judge and/or jury. Otherwise, they are naught but petty, jealous, and dishonorable people who attack success for naught....

Actually, again the President seems to be wrong again, at least concerning bayonets: some Marine and Army friends of mine have stated that they were issued bayonets, and another source confirmed that the USMC has recently placed an order for 120K new bayonets to replace existing ones. Seems like he was wrong, the president was, again on numbers....

GW -- Ummmmm....apparently, I'm not alone in this view. CNN, CBS, and other polls form the mainstream media show the debate didn't change anyone's mind on how to vote, and that Romney, for the third straight debate, had a better grasp and plan concerning the economy than did Mr. Obama. Rassmussen and Gallup are also reporting today in the US that Mr. Romney's numbers are up, and going higher. How's that, again, for the obvious?

Mirai Hayashi must be getting her numbers from the same source that -- quite conveniently -- stated that unemployment was 7.8% right after the first debate, in whcih Mr. Obama had his hat handed to him by Mr. Romney (especially with the glaring facts that Mr. Romney brought up, how the US unemployment rate was 8.0% or above for the 40-plus months of Mr. Obama's administration)....

Interesting: Mr. Romney didn't seem to be "savaged" by anyone, least of all the president. I listened to the debates, and quite honestly, Mr. Obama seemed desperate in his agressiveness, interruptions, and patently false assertions and statements, not to mention his condescension. Seemed like he was trying to win the zinger count instead of the debate (in particular) or the election (in general).

Mr. Romney, on the otherh and, seemed far more likeable, concerned with the nation as a whole, and pretty much held his own against the president yet again.

No "Savaging" done by anyone here, except the desperatation left, who is likely seeing their man go down to defeat in two weeks...

I'm not the type to give into knee-jerk reactions. Ever since I spoke with military personnell who were stationed at bases in Okinawa at one time or another, I always take such stories like this one with a grain of salt.

That being said, if these two sailors are guilty, they should have the book thrown at them. Rape is a horrific crime and those who perpetrate such deserve the maximum penalty under the law.

As far as closign the bases and sending all the US Military personnell to other places, if Japan and Okinawa ever do such, they can say "bye-bye" to 70~80% of Okinawa's economy, income, and revenue. Yes, there have been horrible crimes that have been committed in the past by US forces personnel, but they are in the vast, vast minority compared to the good that US forces personnel briong.

My prayers go up continually for those who lost so much in this devastating earthquake and tsunami. Had I still been in Japan when this disaster hit, I would have been stranded in Tokyo for a couple of days, and many of my friends did lose people. Good to see this memorial.

Sorry, Mr. Obama lied through is teeth in the 2nd debate, not the 1st, when he said he declared the Benghazi attack as an act of terror. My mistake about mixing up the debates....

I'll be the first to admit that Mitt romney wasn't my first choice. I didn't think him any different, really, than Mr. Obama. However, his debates ith the president convinced me that he is different, and that the GOP made a very good choice.

All that to say this: Mr. Obama has lied through his teeth about what happened in Benghazi, especiallyi n the first debate. The man cannot come clean with what happened, the White House STILL clinging to the "video protest" story. Mr. Obama also lied about how the drawing down of the US Navy "won't happen" when he was the one who not only introduced the legislation to do so, but has blocked efforts by congress to nullify this action to lessen the US Navy ships.

If there is anyone who has been proven to be dishonest and totally untrustworthy, it is Mr. Obama. His words here are naught but a desperate ploy by a sinking campaign that is desperate to win an election that he and they have already lost....

I have news fo the Chinese: You will be fortunate indeed if your students - who come here to the USA and taste freedom - decide to come back to China and work. I know this because 40% of the students I teach here at Va. Tech are Chinese, and a great number of them like living in a place that isn't choked with pollution, governed by a tyranny that shuts down dissent (a' la' Google and YouTube in China), and a place that isn't overly crowded (Blacksburg Virginia, population 40,000 [35k of which are associate with Tech). And if this is happening in just one college town, imagine the thousand or so other major colleges and their towns experiencing similarly with their Chinese students.

Yep, China needs to be aware that their students actually like the USA, actually like freedom, and many of whom plan to get their green card once they get their education....

Say what you all wish, but there is cause for the strong dislike of Japan and the Japanese by the Koreans and the Chinese, for that matter. I teach a LOT of Chinese students, and they know well about what happened at Nanking and in the Second World War (which they state began for them when Japan invaded Manchuria in September of 1931). The Koreans as well, thanks to 50 years of occupation and attempts at annexation.

Amazing that we can have a dissenting opinion on just about everything under the sun, ranging from the color of Toyota's newest all the way to how well Prime Minister Noda is doing (same with President Obama....to a large degree, anyway), but the minute ANYone criticizes homosexuality in any way, shape, or form, s/he is labeled, tarred-and-feathered, ostracized, and in any otherwise form derided.

I, for one, oppose homosexuality as anything other than a deviant lifestyle. If anyone chooses to disagree, I say great and wonderful: that's what makes free nations just that - free. Used to be we could have civilized debates abut such issues.....
