Mother should be charged with negligence resulting in manslaughter. Simple and plain. You don't leave a FOUR yr OLD unattended for ANY amount of time. It's 100% her fault.

Ja cruise: you are absolutely correct. Japanese simply don't pay any attention when walking around. My girl is amazed at how aware I am of my surroundings. I tell her when walking around I always look at each and every person for at least a split second to identify any possible danger. I guess it's a habit I picked up growing up in Los Angeles. I think if people were more vigilant here, there would be less random attacks.

I'm not defending the keystones here...but my girl showed me a picture of the suspect. He def looked pretty shady. But my question is why are plainclothes cops patrolling a place like haiki. Trust me, I live in Haiki and there is NOTHING going on at 3am. Sounds like some bored keystones got more than they can handle.

I say lay it on them. They would do the same, probably worse if the situation were reversed. The government and these "safety" officials here would grandstand and jump to all types of conclusions.

Tragic indeed. But the only positive thing about this situation, is that he saved a life, even cooler, his lil bro. He will be remembered for life for this brave and selfless act.
