Firefox lost my bookmarks, 3 times! Chrome can't handle many websites, particularly ones with security functions. So I use IE due to this process of deduction.

Only 10% of people use Macs, so Windows-only is understandable. Anyway, cheap PC laptops now have better graphics than expensive Macs, according to a recent Yahoo test, so more photographers and other graphic workers will be switching to PCs in the future.

Um, it's a Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka. Few of us commute on such an expensive route "twice a day." Hence, the silliness of having a monthly fee system.

I'm afraid you're wrong, Onewroldneppl. According to AP style and many other style rules, acronyms of 3 letters or more (UNESCO, etc) don't require periods.
I hope you don't teach English for a living.

I assume "Osakadaz" is from Osaka, and would add that Singapore - green, diverse and cosmopolitan - makes Osaka look like a gray, tedious concrete sprawl.

.." I've heard reports..."
Well, here's one "report": I've ACTUALLY taken Jetstar, and my flights have been great. The Singapore to Saigon, return for $150 or less. My wife takes the same flight. Never been late or had any other such problems. Booking online is a breeze. Also, the flight schedule (morning arrival) is a lot better than many of the regular airlines, which charge 3 or 4 times as much.

"I've never understood why it is not popular here."
Because it's an individualistic sport and difficult to stage as a group or communal activity, due to the confined space of a squash court.
I play tennis in Tokyo regularly, and rarely see singles played. Rather, groups of up to 20 people will often play on a single court.

Such sick perversion should be restricted to Japan's domestic market - otherwise foreigners will get the wrong idea about Japan.
Now I'm waiting for right-winger nationalists to target Amazon.

Yelnats, maybe you've never been to the island's northwest coast. Sandy beaches that stretch forever, hardly anyone around even during high season.

NHK World has political, not journalistic, objectives. It's not comparable with CNN, BBC, etc., whose stations use correspondents and editors from many different countries. NHK World will be a Japan-centric operation.

And whose economies have the highest productivity levels? Certainly not Japan! (http://tinyurl.com/36sa9z). Gosh, a bunch of "Judeo-Christian" nations occupy the top slots!
Anyway, it's about time those Jews started to pull up their bootstraps and do a bit of work for once.
The arrogance of this "Aso" is mind-boggling.

Not strictly "ancient," as it started from around 1200. More like "medieval." In fact, Japanese civilization is too new to be termed ancient, as it didn't get started until around 700 AD.

A futile, band-aid approach. What's needed is re-education to eliminate such wasteful and useless items in the first place, like disposable chopticks, plastic bento boxes, 3-layers of wrapping, and those little green sheets of plastic they place in sushi for presentation purposes.

"Delicacies"?!?! - in truth, it's cold "convenience food" to spare housewives the job of cooking proper food during the holiday.
