So Obama says that Al-Qaida would use nukes if it acquired them? Isn't that a case of stating the obvious???

Many people in the States CHOOSE to go without health insurance. They will continue to do so, because the fine for not having it is actually less money than the premiums would cost. The Democrats can't be stupid enough not to know this. It's just another hidden tax. Or maybe not so hidden.

The trial just ended -- but it looks like Japan Today editors have already found the woman guilty. Your headline needs to be changed, guys. Innocent till proven guilty, remember?

This guy was just as angry at big business, the Catholic Church, and his wife as he was at the IRS. But the media keep concentrating on his anti-IRS anger only. I guess the pro-Obama media need to play up the anti-government angle so that the liberal Democrats can use it to score political pity points.

Must have been awful. I know someone in Connecticut who lives about 20 miles from there, and she said she felt it.

"" surprised they were able to identify the body. One would think that there would be very little identifiable flesh left on a body after being dragged on asphalt for 24 km...""
Asphalt? This is Hokkaido in winter, dude. The roads up here all have a layer of ice and/or snow on them this time of year!

One AP report I read yesterday said this: More than a few servicemen and servicewomen knew about this guy's extremism, but were reluctant to act because they didn't want to appear to be prejudiced against Muslims.
So thanks to political correctness, 13 people are dead.
And I'm still waiting for the so-called mainstream media to call this what it is -- a terrorist attack.

Poor cops -- there were only 2 of them, and they were sent in to deal with an incident involving over 20 men. They should have had more help.

I always "hit the loo" right before boarding anyway. I have been doing it for as long as I can remember flying. The terminal's toilets are usually nicer than the ones in the plane. Unless you're flying out of LaGuardia or JFK.

It seems to me that the Japan Today staff wrote that headline for the deliberate purpose of inviting people to dump on the Japanese police. That's why they left the serious injury out of the headline -- then buried it several paragraphs down in the story.

The headline is misleading. It leaves out the fact that they severely injured a man after driving into his car. That's called "assault with a deadly weapon" where I come from. Meaning that these two weren't just thieves -- they were more dangerous than that.

Doesn't "wild west" imply lawlessness, gunfights at the corral, things like that? I think a more appropriate comparison could have been made.

Do NOT donate money to this UN program if you oppose abortion. Because at least a portion of its funds go toward enabling abortion around the world.
I'm not trying to start an argument with people who are okay with abortion. If that's your opinion, so be it. I'm just warning those who, like me, morally oppose the taking of the lives of the unborn. If you donate to the Millennium Fund, you will be contributing to abortion.

The child is an American citizen by virtue of the father's citizenship. So the child should be allowed to stay in America, as well as the mother because the child is her dependent.
Don't hold your breath waiting for Obama to do anything about this. Not with the liberal disdain for the military.

As long as the constitutional right to bear arms continues to be denied on US college campuses, this kind of crime will tragically continue to plague the hallowed halls of academia.
How many more Annies have to be murdered? And how many more campus assaults (such as at Virginia Tech) have to happen, before people are allowed their constitutional right to defend themselves with firearms?

How true. Accidents like this never happen in any other country except Japan. Never, ever, ever.
Not a single pedestrian has ever been killed or injured by a car in any other country. It only happens in Japan.
Make sure you remember that!

Great idea. Why apply this "logic" just to car accidents?
Let's apply it to all crimes -- even murder! Instead of life in prison or the death penalty, let's make the penalty for murder ... probation!
That way, murderers will be far less likely to attempt to evade arrest!
Thanks for the opportunity to engage in one of my favorite hobbies -- sarcasm!
