The world is flat and if you sail to the West you will fall off the edge.
The Sun revolves around the Earth.
Blah blah blah blah......
If it were up to the church types we would still be using animals to pull our plows.
I just hope that one day religion will take the back seat to human evolution.
Religion should be left in the heart of people and not in the world of politics.....
Dear Pope Prada needs worry about feeding flock flock and stop worrying about politics.

Pope needs to worry more about the poor than what happens in America. Maybe if he sold a few of his Prada shoes he could feed a few thousand hungry families.
It is so funny that the Church wants families to keep spitting out kids even though they can not feed them. If the Church wants so many babies, they need to start paying those families to help raise them.
Save a starving child, use birth control.

Chavez needs to stop sticking his fat little fingers in the politics of other Latin American countries. He has this ,"I want to be Simon Bolivar" mentality that is very dangerous to the free world.
Chavez objected to the very idea of giving those who ousted President Manuel Zelaya the same treatment as the leader himself.
This sentence needed some corrections, it should read;
Chavez objected to the very idea of giving those who ousted his trained pet parrot the same treatment as the leader himself.

At that very moment good ole Norm was crying like a girl in his room....
I myself wish we had less lawyers in Congress, I prefer more Comics....I always wondered how George Carlin would of fared as a Senator.
Actually I think that the Democrats should thank the Republican party as a whole for helping them take control.
If it were not for the rubber stamp government we had under the far right then they may have still been breathing. But since they nearly bankrupted our nation with their mismanagement, we now have a Democratic controlled state.
I for one think that the Democrats will have to stay in power for about 12 years. That will be enough time for them to correct the damage the far right caused.
I hope that now, the Republican party can shed the FAR RIGHT RELIGIOUS types from party leadership. Maybe after that the Republican party will become a party of vision rather than a private country club.
A writer writes and an editor destroys....LOL
Actually, that limitation will never run out. Always remember, the worse the President the more the mileage. You can bet your bottom dollar that there is a lot, and I mean a whole lot of mileage left on that one.LOL
So how does 70 in the Senate and 330 in the House sound to you?LOL

Not really, but most of the time it is the far right that gets bent out of shape when someone who is off white gets an honor like this....Not always but most of the times.
Every State in the Union does the same thing as the Congress, take a look at some.

Congress does this all the time like I said. But only this time does it matter. Why? Well MJ was found not guilty and most far righter's think he was guilty. So it is not fair because they know it in their hearts of hearts that he may have done it. But the evidence was not enough to convict.
So if this passes and they give him this award just, get over it.
I myself am one of those that believes innocence till found guilty. But I see you do not follow that......Too bad, but oh well....

Hm a Madonna day,hm I wonder what folks will have to wear on that holiday.....Hmmm
Actually Congress does this sort of thing all the time. But the only reason you never hear about it is because it is so bloody boring that no one cares. Well until now that is........
Always interesting how the far right goes overboard over a person that was never convicted. I wonder if it has to do with MJ's skin color? Hm nah the far righter's are not bigots...
I remember how they were right there helping to pass Martin Luther King's birthday as a nation holiday. Yep not one......Opps excuse me someone is calling me about this.......er...."what, what do you say?"..."Well that can not be, check your sources again..."...."Oh, ok, let me correct myself then"...
Sorry folks but I was just informed that many Republicans were against having MLK birthday as a national holiday. Still to this day many Republicans are opposed to that holiday.
So are far right wingers bigots? Well for that answer you choose.
As for MJ being honored, why not, he was never convicted of anything and did many good things.

To most of the people MJ was nothing more than a leper in life. But, not that he has died, they love him....Where was all this love before he died?LOL
How sad, leper in life, king in death....
I expect to start to hear reports of MJ sightings or miracles happening when you pray in front of his picture.
Sad, just wish they were there for him when he needed them.....
Sharpton looked at Jackson’s children and declared: “Your daddy wasn’t strange — what he had to deal with was strange.”
That was well a bit odd to say to kids who are saying good bye to their father. Maybe should have picked something else to say. Because I am pretty sure his kids did not find him strange, they just loved him.

DickMorris I think you put your own spin on the famous Bush quote,"I looked the man in the eye. I was able to get a sense of his soul" because what President Bush saw was a bit different.
Now to straighten what President Bush saw let us go to the source and not anyone else.....
In Presidents Bush's own words;
"I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straight forward and trustworthy and we had a very good dialogue.
"I was able to get a sense of his soul.
"He's a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country and I appreciate very much the frank dialogue and that's the beginning of a very constructive relationship," Mr Bush said.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/1392791.stm
I did not see anywhere where Bush said he was Hitler or evil. Maybe I do not have my far right wing decoder ring.
Again before the far right tries to make things up they should first try and see what really happened.....LOL

Ah yes as usual the far right would rather support another nations leader than our own. How real American.......
Too bad the far right does not understand diplomacy. After 8 years of none I understand they do not understand what it means.....LOL

I applaud you for your sincerity and honestly. I respect your comments and found them to be a good read.
If Mr Romney were to stay away from the far right religious closed eye politics he would be a good candidate.
If the Republicans are to stand a chance in the next elections then they better open their doors to the more moderate Conservatives rather than going hard line.
That is what really sank McCain and his last bid. If he would have picked Romney instead of Palin then many moderates would have gone to him. But he picked an ultra conservative and he lost his bid.

Ah Miami, my old town.....What a shootout in Overtown? No no no I would have never believed that would happen in that part of Miami....
For those who do not know what an Overtown is, imagine the filth and drugs of Roppongi and then multiply that by 10 to the 100th power and there you go, Overtown.....
I do not know which is worse Overtown or Liberty City.......
When I was growing up the area known as Carol City was almost as bad, but then the citizens got together and cleaned it up.....

Very well stated, but I would not hold my breath for an answer. You see, every chance I get I too ask the far right,"why do you think she is so great?". To date not a one has responded with more than ,"because all she's done in her life."
The more you ask, the less and less they say.
None of the far righters here can give you an answer because they do not know. They are just marching in lock step to the same drummer. The only problem with this is, they do not see that they are about to go over a cliff.
I again bellow out and ask ,"What has Palin done to make her your parties standard-bearer?" come come now don't fall all over each other trying to be the first to answer.....LOL

LOL, you are funny,"these clowns" have been in office less than a year and you are blaming them for this economy? Wow, amnesia, you seem to have lost 8 years of the Bush administration.....LOL
So since you understand her so well, please tell us a bit about her plans for our future.
Convince this Independent voter of her worthiness to lead our nation. Please, I really wish to know why you think she is your parties savior.
Now, do not drape her in the flag and place her on a pedestal and not say a word of her plans. Tell me what is it that you has convinced you that she is this grand leader.....
I wait on bated breath with anticipation of your answer......
Molenir at 11:19 PM JST - 6th July pathetic sad sack President, embarrassing, competent........
Next question why is Mrs Palin more competent than President Obama? Please, none of your ,"because she is" or ,"She rocks" or ,"He's a socialist". See those just will not do if you are trying to convince the people that Palin is better than Obama.
You have to say why she is this great leader that you and your party has said she is. So come now, convince the rest of us to vote for her.
BTW, I have given most of the counter points of her ill prepared abilities in my posts above. Each time I have asked for someone on the far right to counter them, but for some reason they remain unanswered.
Hm, I wonder why that is?LOL

When someone says this (bold) they are not saying it in a literal sense.
drape/wrap yourself in the flag
to pretend to do something for your country when you are really doing it for your own advantage
That is what I believe that Palins has always done and in this case there is nothing new or different.
She has decided to abandon her post and begin to change her image. But alas, she is no Eliza Doolittle and there is no Henry Higgins. So the chances of her changing her flawed image are nil at best......
Sad how the far right falls all over someone like her.......

Very good point, I too believe the majority of Republicans have found this move something strange. The only Republicans who agree with her move have been the far right of the party and the extreme party loyal members.
I still do not understand how the far right thinks this ill prepared person could run a state let alone a nation. Well, maybe she could run the nation of Monaco, it has the population of a small town....LOL

Actually it is not that the Center or the left hate Palin. We really do not hate her. The thing is we on the Center and the left see her for what she stands for and we hate that.
The reason we fight with you far right wingers over the Palin issue is that we are trying to save America from what she represents. You seem too draped in party loyalty that you do not want to see that. Party before country has caused great nations to fall.
Other things that you do not seem to want to see;
We also do not understand why you guys are so blinded by her. She is ill prepared to lead anything larger than a town.
Her knowledge of world affairs is as vast as her earpiece tells her.
You are only as good as the folks around you. Just look at her personal staff and you can see what type of leader she is.
Leaders are expected to complete what they started and not walk away when it gets too hot.
She drapes herself in the flag but does not understand the Constitution. She seems not to understand which of the two is more important and why.
She cries that she is being attacked because she is a strong woman. But if Hillary were to say that, the far right would say she is acting like a girl.
She plays with politics like a bull in a china shop. She just does not understand that words can lead to violence.
Really odd how the far right gushes at a supposed strong woman. But put a D in front of that woman's name and she is nothing more than a shrill.
Yes, I am talking about Hillary Clinton and no I do not like her. But if you compare the two, Hillary is by far better suited to lead than Palin.
I myself would not vote for either but if forced too I would chose Hillary over Palin for our nations sake. Palin just does not get it while Clinton has it hands down over her.
I expect to see responses from the far right about the looks and shapes of the women. But, that goes to show how little regard they hold for our nations future.
They would rather pick looks over brains. Goes to show what the far right really use to think with. Maybe that is why they like Dick Cheney so much.....LOL
