    Okay who was to blame?

    1. The Mexican military?

    2. An angry cartel?

    3. The central government?

    4. All the above because they are all working together?

    I pick 4......

Blue_Tiger at 02:56 AM JST - 31st August Where was all this "outrage" when horrible things were being said about President Bush? Hypocrites on the left showing us who they really are once again....

Isn't grand to bring up a all but gone ex? The question is not about Bush it is about our present President.

I know you would have an issue if anyone would have said "boo" about Bush. But what do you think of the comment about President Obama?

    Any comment about this topic.

As for myself, I find this the same bs by the right. Using a popular Democratic President as a stepping stone.

This guy is a long shot and he knows it, so why not try anything. I am surprised that he has not started to call the President names. You know like, traitor, Communist, Pinko, Socialist ect ect ect.

Nothing new from a party that is slowly disappearing into the ranks of the whig, Federalist and so on......Just another nail in that coffin....LOL

WhiteHawk at 11:55 PM JST - 26th Augus That's more an example of Bush's reaching out to Kennedy than it is Kennedy's reaching out to Bush. But hey, the Left wants to believe it was Gorbachev who single-handedly ended the cold war while Reagan slept and ate jelly beans, so why not rewrite Kennedy's history too?

If that is your idea of the far reaching out then you guys need to work on your diplomacy. No child left behind was not funded by the Bush admin. That little sucker was left high and dry.........Reaching out with a knife in your right hand while smiling....LOL

Too bad that the far right can not respect a family that has given so much for our nation.....The far right showed more respect when William Luther Pierce passed than they have shown Mr Kennedy.

How far has our nation fallen? Too bad that it does not respect true heroes....

The loons on the far right have been stirring them into a frenzy. Now these loons are packing weapons to support their right to bare arms. But all they are doing is following the paranoia that they have been fed.

It is sad to see how folks actually believe the far right media and not the actual news sources.

Loons are loons and the far right is run by loons right now. Hope none of them go the route of the far right religious fanatical terrorist in their use of violence.

To try and force ones beliefs by trying to intimidate is cowardly at best.

Badsey at 08:22 PM JST - 16th August -When your job is finished you must go home. It seems these socialist regimes are easy on crime/punishment (NK etc) -A liberals dream country it seems.

Where do you get your misinformation? Burm....opps sorry... Myanmar's form of government is a Military Junta far from a liberal bastion. A liberal bastion would be more like ancient Athens.

Aung San Suu Kyi follows a philosophy of non-violence promoted by Mahatma Gandhi and also that of her Buddhist beliefs. Meaning she is what you would consider a leftist.

Again, where do you get your information? If you can prove that the MIlitary junta is a liberal bastion please do so. I wait for your proof.....

dontpanic at 10:43 PM JST - 15th August If I remember correctly Jesus wasnt inciting racial hatred, oppression, or denying the greatest crime the world has ever seen.

    No he was not, what he was charged with was;

    1. Blasphemy, a charge that carried the death penalty.

    2. Sedition, because he was under mining the rule of the clergy by speaking his mind again them.

    3. He was also accused of claiming to be able to destroy the Herod the Great's Temple.

He was considered a radical and an anarchist by the Government in power at the time.

dontpanic at 10:43 PM JST - 15th August Your example is a nonsense, the Sanhedrin Trial wasnt conducted by an independant court under a democracy, rather it was an impromptue religious court predesposed to handing Jesus over to a despotic foreign occupier. How is that relevent to what happened in Australia?

Does it matter if the court was a Democracy, Theocracy, Monarchy, Autocracy or a Constitutional monarchy (Australia falls under this power is vested from the Queen to Parliament).

Censorship is censorship. In 2002 Toben was found guilty of the charge "vilified Jewish people". He was ordered to remove all offensive material from his site. But when he did not (7 years later) he was held in contempt of court.

But, here is a question, if this is not censorship then what is it. In my book, this case stemmed from the Government attempting to censor someones thought (as sick as they maybe).

Government does not have to right to create laws of censorship. What is next thought monitoring? I am one of those people that holds that all men/women have the right to speak their minds.

As long as they do not scream,"fire" in a crowded theater. That is criminal....

But speaking ones opinion is not.....

dontpanic at 10:43 PM JST - 15th August Remember Toben broke laws passed by a democratically elected government, operating within its constitution, enforced by the court. Sometimes words are not harmless and Toben is finding out he is responsible for what he has said.

Now, my argument is for freedom of speech it has always been. I believe that all peoples of the world should have the right to speak their minds. All forms of censorship should be abolished.

Now, the Australian Constitution does not protect Freedom of Speech or the press I understand that. The government can arrest anyone that violates any of their laws.

Does this make it right to arrest someone for expressing his/her opinions? In my book, no it does not.

“I hate it when people walk while smoking, so I would want to get rid of cigarettes. I’d use the ‘Cutie Cleaner’ (a special mop she uses in the TV program) to hit the arms of people carrying

I love 18 year old dumarses....Being a non-smoker I do not mind if someone smokes a bit. If I were a smoker and some dumarse 18 year old knocked my smoke out of my hand I would be a bit miffed.....

    Dumarse 18 year old......

I give her 5 years before she is clipped for smoking weed or meth. You know, the health drugs....LOL

Quit smoking it is bad for you and making someone else rich......But if you want to die, then that is on you.....Enjoy.....

Molenir, of all the right wingers here you have said more than all the far right wing media types combined. It is real funny and down right odd how the far right media has tried to silence this.

Everyone on the right always claims the the media outlets are controlled by the left. But we see by the disappearance of this story who holds the true power.

Now if we talk about News Reporters there are many more of those.

I wonder if I dropped a pin at fox would I hear it hit the floor when it comes to this story?

Sarge at 11:54 PM JST - 14th August "Palin today defended her lies" Palin has not lied.

Let us ask a Republican Senator if she believes Palin lied......

    Anchorage Daily News:

U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski on Tuesday told an Anchorage crowd that critics of health care reform, the summer's hottest political topic, aren't helping the debate by throwing out highly charged assertions not based in fact.

"It does us no good to incite fear in people by saying that there's these end-of-life provisions, these death panels," Murkowski, a Republican, said. "Quite honestly, I'm so offended at that terminology because it absolutely isn't (in the bill). There is no reason to gin up fear in the American public by saying things that are not included in the bill."

Sarge if something is not there and someone claims that it is there, is that a lie? For those that just want to know what is a lie, well as always I am here to help....

    • Main Entry: lie
    1. 1 : to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive

    2. 2 : to create a false or misleading impressiontransitive verb : to bring about by telling lies

Unless you are a Palin fan, she lied. If you are a Palin fan, she was a bit mistaken....

In other words, Palin show her intellect by making this false statement.

dontpanic at 10:37 PM JST - 14th August JoeBigs - There cant be complete freedom of speech when what is said incites hatred, or violence, or perpetuates lies. Thats why Toben was barred from publishing his materials in the first place. Thats not the state suppressing free speech, its good policing.

Do not mistake me for a religious person, which I am not by any stretch of the imagination. But I will use religion as an example.

Now I ask you, who does deem what is right and what is wrong to say? Let us use Christianity as an example. Jesus was suppose to have been at odds with the government at the time because of his beliefs.

The heads of the government had him arrested because they said he was a Blasphemer. Then they tried to make him take everything he said back. But, when he did not he was murdered.

Was that right? Was it right to arrest someone because of what he said? The government at the time thought it was.

So I ask, what is the difference, censorship is censorship.

What is next, re-education camps because the State does not like what you think?

eresay at 10:55 PM JST - 14th August One of the great urban myths. He didn't say that.

You are correct, but it is reported that he did say,"I detest what you write, but I would give my life to make it possible for you to continue to write."

I would not call it an urban myth, just a misunderstanding. The quote was actually made by someone who believed that that is what he would have said.

mindovermatter at 08:54 PM JST - 14th August Take notice you neo-japan, ultimate world victims and Nanking Deniers, If you lived in a civilized, first rate nation, you could actually be Jailed for spouting off those "Innocent Japan" white-washed history views... You are just lucky that the U.S. was so good to you... Thank your lucky stars... By the grace of MY forefathers, there go thee... You're welcome for your freedom, even though you never did anything to earn it....!

Wow such hate, so the question must be asked.....Do you believe in freedom of speech or is the State allowed to take that right when it feels like it?
