"failure-soaked years like the ones under Bush" Sushi, you don't know what you're talking about. Under Bush, we've had mostly remarkable economic growth, low unemployment and low inflation. I suggest you attend a college-level economics course before commenting further on this topic.

I was in College in the US at that time, studying economics precisely and I had to leave college because grants were cut, no funds for research and private firms were more cautios on spending. So what kind of economic growth are you talking about? Please!

hahaha... are japanese women imitating LatinAmerican people? It is difficult for me to understand why the fuss in showing too much skin, i guess it is a cultural thing. If I go to Japan and wear a miniskirt probably I'd get arrested...

alphaape, I'm sorry if it sound rude of me about the comment of women wanting someone to provide for them. It is that although I'm not a feminist I reject chauvinistic remarks. I don't know how the character in the comic behaves and thinks, so I can't give my opinion. Maybe it is that she wants something as you said. In my country we still have pretty much chauvinistic thinking, but since we have a female president there are some changes in the way of thinking.

Johnshiomi, I loved your post, i liked the part about loving yourself and scaping from misery.

She wouldn’t mind marrying, she says, but rejects the sacrifices it is sure to involve.

Well what will she have to sacrifice to get married. In case she doesn't realize it, even the man has to sacrifice too. No longer will he be able to just wantonly roam about on his own, but a responsible partner will realize that he is responsible for not only himself but his family, and that it is not only going to be "his way" only.

But I think the real crux of the issue is that maybe she feels that she is entitiled to something. If you bring that attitude into a marriage, or a realtionship, then you will never find happiness. Ture you should expect someone to respect you and at least be willing to try to provide for your needs, but if you go into a relationship with the notion that you are entitled to a certain lifestyle, luxuries, etc, you will be doomed.

Not all women expect to when they get married that are entitled to something. In fact it tends to be the opposite, as a single woman, I'm used to have my luxuries and do what i want, I don't expect to marry someone **to provide ** for me, the notion of sacrifice is that I have to give up my freedom to do whatever I want, whenever I want, wherever I want and with who I want, so it is the same "sacrifice" that the men have to do when they want to marry (did you ever see the movie "The Bachelor" with Chris O'Donnell?)

Why would a man put up with that, when all he would have to do is go to the closest "soapy" or "happening bar" pay and in the long run come out ahead cheaper financially.

And why does have a women to put up with that too?

At 11 you are just starting to understand the world. He was a teacher and hence, a person that a child tend to trust, so he abused of his power. True, kids nowadays tend to mature faster than, say 15 years ago, but still, the mind is not prepared, even if physically you look older and you've had so much info through internet to understand better some things.

It also could be the other way around, I've read that in my country and other countries there is child prostitution, and this girl might be involved on that since the circumstances they've met each other, and the fact that it took 16 months to denounce the attack, but even though she were one, she is underage, it is wrong and illegal, and since the guy admitted the fact, why it says, "arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting..." it is a crime in any way you look at it.

I agree, women should not mope around for lack of opportunity, I think this wife is a true entrepreneur... probably she tick off someone and in vengance, they rat on her for not paying taxes or because it is porno, although I don´t like the "line of business" chosen by her, i feel sorry for the husband who couldn`t buy her clothes...

She messed up, but if the justice went that for, then we're probably more likely to see worse things in the news than a mere prank or threat. Getting caught is a good lesson for this girl.

You really think so?, I think that this "girl" deserves going to a trial and get psychiatric evaluation. She doesn't sympathize with the victims, besides, she said "I will kill more than Kato", it soundad like she wanted to win the score made by Kato and then be killed. And then to say, "I was joking" to me it's like she was off her rocker... and the threat cannot be ignored, not because the likelihood of this particular girl going through with it, but for inspiring other copycats and planting panic on the population.

he is already helping America's reputation just by being a candidate

I agree, his speeches are excellent. I do hope that Obama wins, the only little thing he needs to assure his victory over Mc Cain is a strong VP with the political experience. I doubt that Hillary can fill that, It seems to me that she has the wrong idea of how popular she is, so "her political experience" is not strong.

no way, with the reading of more junk on the internet and mobiles as well as Manga speed reading kids of this age should be reading 200% faster.

Trouble is the laguange used on the internet. My native language is Spanish and English is my second language, I do participate in forums either in Spanish or English, and even though I try to use a correct language the abuse of the "LOL", "BTW", "PLZ" does not allow a young man/women to learn the language properly. I support reading, good books not junk... reading gives you velocity so the lenght of sentences in subtitles should not be a problem. Sometimes I have bought some movies in Japan, so I watch them in their original language (usually English), I don't like dubbing that much, since sometimes the emotions of the actor/actress are lost with bad dubbing.. About the Nazi thing... It is extraordinary that some can miss that since there are still people that consider themselves "Neonazis"... and there are a lot of movies that could explain the nature of that party members such a good one like "Schindler's List" (Oh wait, it cannot be dubbed because they can't pronounce the name of the protagonist - pardon my sarcasm)

I'm single working woman, but I think that i cook a little more than that... trouble is I don't like it very much, although my parents do tell me that I cook well. When a woman attends the university you are able to cook once in a while and if you are very organized, you can do it every day with a different combinations of simple and easy-to-cook food. I did it when i was at college, but now that I'm working the rhythm is so fast and stressful that I don't feel cooking but rather to eat out or in places that can serve either fast food or some healthy foods. Besides, for people like me, people that DON'T LIKE IT, it's no use... Sometimes I do like to give a surprise to my friends, parents, etc., by cooking something special, but it is the fact that I don't do it regularly is the think that makes my cooking "special".
